Any Hope for Herzog?

Talk about the Washington Football Team here. Do you bleed burgundy and gold?

Any Hope for Herzog?

Post by SonnyRules »

So, is the Larry Michael thing pretty much a done deal now? I know there was a big push to get Frank back, but from reading a poll at washingtonpost.com, it looks like the vast majority are happy to give Michael a chance.

I will miss Frank a lot, but I have to say, I like Larry Michael quite a bit, too. Thank God it's not Earl Forsee (sp?) or Steve Saban or Andy Poulan (again, sp?). I can't stand those guys.

Forsee needs to be b-slapped in the worst way, especially. He's always ranting about how cool he is and talkin' about "the ladies." You ever see his face? Let's put it this way, he's got a great face for RADIO.

And I enjoy listening to Steve and Andy in the afternoons, but these guys are also WAY too full of themselves, and they simply think they have to take the negative slant with EVERY single story. They were happy about Gibbs coming back for a couple days, and then it started. "Is he too old?" "Will he be able to handle this?" "This Champ for Portis trade is questionable," etc., etc. I guess they think that a show can't be entertaining unless someone's trying to shout someone else down every five seconds.

Anyway, of all those guys, Larry Michael is the only one I respect, so, I guess it could be worse. But I wonder if he'll say, "Touchdown, Washington Redskins" or if he'll try to come up with his own little tag line.

I think Larry Michael will do a good job on the radio show. Its nice that people were so supportive of Frank and everything, but things change. Its not the end of the world.

I won't mind it too much if he still says "Toucdooowwn, WAshington Redsksins!" because Herzog's version is ingrained in my memory for all time. I'm really going to miss that in the fall, but riggofan is right--things change. :(

I watched Larry Michael call the Hasim Rahman game. I though he did a great job and was very well prepared. He is going to be just fine...
