So it seemS that Vinny is at it again. He plans to interview Jimmy Clausen.... FOR WHAT? VINNY...FOR WHAT?
This has already been one of the weirdest weeks in D.C. sports talk history......
.......
But none of that can compare to Friday's extravaganza. According to ESPN 980, Vinny Cerrato--an ex-Notre Dame guy, who has already been to Notre Dame this season to scout quarterback Jimmy Clausen--will have as a guest on his radio show, that's right, quarterback Jimmy Clausen!
So is this a job interview? A media interview? A chance to throw other GMs off the scent? Or just another absurd moment in a week full of 'em.
You be the judge! Inside the Red Zone airs from 8 to 10 on ESPN 980, and it'll be weird, if nothing else.
"When you send Dan [Snyder] out along with Vinny Cerrato, Vinny's going to tell him whatever he thinks Dan wants to hear," Schottenheimer said Thursday on "The Red Zone," the SIRIUS NFL show he hosts along with Solomon Wilcots. "Dan, God love him, I don't know that the analysis and evaluation of quarterbacks is necessarily down his alley."
"Sean Taylor is hands down the best athlete I've ever coached it's not even close" Gregg Williams 2005 Mini-Camp
Now we're in for it - Snyder will feel that he has to get a QB in here, just to show Marty & everyone that he can what a way to manage a franchise AND a great way to build up confidence in your QB and your offense - NFL franchise management 101
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
Not only do we have Homer Simpson as team owner, We have Marge scouting the talent!
DOH!
"That's a clown question, bro" - - - - - - - - - - Bryce Harper, DC Statesman "But Oz never did give nothing to the Tin Man That he didn't, didn't already have" - - - - - - - - - - Dewey Bunnell, America
Sigh. Its already looking bad for "next year" as this bug eyed doofus looks like he is staying around. This is a reoccurring nightmare. Thank you, Vinny and Dan, for ruining football for me. I no longer watch with the same passion I used to as I have taken on the role of apathy.

The sky already fell so where have you been? Vinny interviewing a college quarterback that he and Danny both "scouted" adds to the circus of events that continue to happen. Its not like the local media is interviewing this kid. It is our player personnel guy interviewing him! I don't see Polian out there giving on air interviews to potential draft prospects.

It's not a certainty, but this interview hints that Vinny will be here. Why would an organization let a GM interview a player that they will likely scout and potentially draft if they plan on firing that individual? Just doesn't make sense to do that.

You're basing this on Danny making sense?
...any given Sunday....
RIP #21 Sean Taylor. You will be loved and adored by Redskins fans forever!!!!!
GSPODS:
The National Anthem sucks.
What a useless piece of propagandist rhetoric that is.

Agreed. In 2005, Cerrato and Gibbs were seen heavily scouting and interested in Kellen Winslow, with little mention about Sean Taylor...
I don't care about the fact that they are interviewing a certain player, I care that Vinny is interviewing AT ALL!!! This hints that Vinny's gonna be around next year. That walk out during the Cowboys game should be the first in in a long line of walk outs until this guy is gone. Make it happen people of D.C. Get the fire stoked again.
Miss you 21

Since a few weeks ago when everyone was speculating on our QB future, I've done a lot of asking around to ND fans (unfortunately, I'm in ND country), and most do not think he's NFL material...although you can't put too much emphisis on what fans say, or can you? The consensus is the following...
Average arm, slow, can sometimes get to the second or third read in his progression but usually locks in on a man, and he's already run an NFL offense (which is a good thing) with little efficiency (which is a bad thing).
Miss you 21

Also to add to what Marty was quoted earlier, he said that he would love to have JC on his team and feel that he's going to be a very effective QB. He said to compare any QB to players like Manning, Brady, Brees isn't realistic nor is it fair to that player because those three are some of the best QB's of the decade and arguably in the top 10 in football history. Marty did also say that JC would be a good fit in Carolina. New coach, more than likely, young players and a chance to come in and compete for the starting job. He said that JC's going to get a lot of interest once he's on the market.
Enjoy guys. We might as well laugh because crying is depressing.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!
Marty also said yesterday on his serius NFL radio show, that when he was the coach, the reason he fired Vinny is because he told Marty that Danny may listed to Marty during the week but come the weekend, Vinny's in the pressbox and then Danny will have to listen to him.
