BEN WATSON IS AN ANIMAL!

Post by Redskins4Life »

OH MY GOD!Look at what Gil Brandt wrote on NFL.com...
" Ben Watson TE Watson (6-3 3/8, 255) ran a 4.46 in the 40 and did everything else at the combine. "

GOODNESS GRACIOUS! A 4.46 FOR A 255 LB. TE! DAMN! I think he had about 20-25 bench reps. at the combine as well. We really really need to get a 2nd or 3rd round pick back and draft this guy 'cause he is gonna be NASTY.

Yep...as I've said all along he may be the best TE in the draft...I'd love to see us trade down and get a DE/DT and Watson

if you saw the senior bowl, you saw just a few guys that had a good day. watson was one of them. proved himeslf a man amongst boys that day. not to mention had a killer workout. he may even end up the second TE taken.

Now see Wysocki here you go stirrin the damn pot again! With 4.4 speed we'll teach him to block.

It's like the boss who has to choose between hiring the pretty or the ugly woman. The ugly woman is much more qualified, but the boss hires the pretty woman. Why? You can always teach the pretty woman to work, but you can't teach the ugly woman to be pretty!!

I have been screaming for that since I saw this guy's stats at Florida - If we can trade down and pick this guy up as well as DLine help - do it!

I really really want Darnerien McCants to leave D.C. and go to Baltimore. If they give their 2nd round pick for him and we can get Watson WE SHOULD DO IT IN A HEARTBEAT. For all you McCants fans, McCants is easily replaceable, but TE is a position of need. Screw Kellen Winslow, this Watson guy had a MUCH better workout therefore meaning he has more potential than Winslow.

Argh - yer right Jakester - busted....

Watson is from Georgia, right? Ok... sorry... I would rather have Troupe than Watson :)

39 rec. 638 yards 16.4 ypc 5 TD

Height: 6-4
Weight: 262 lbs.

Big and with good hands :) Had as many catches as the leading WR, more yards and didn't have a 70 yarder to pump his stats with... his longest was a 40.

1. They're not going to give us their second rounder. It's VERY wishful thinking.
2. Getting rid of Darnerien doesn't change our tight end situation. We lose a quality receiver.
3. Watching him produce for Baltimore would make me sick.
4. Workouts don't have anything to do with production in the NFL. Exhibit A: Anquan Boldin; who did 10 times better than Charles Rogers last year (yeah, I know Rogers was hurt). Exhibit B: Clinton Portis; dropped to second round and ran for 2 1.500 yard seasons.

Also, we have FIVE tight ends. It's not a position of need anymore.

But safety is...

I still say trade down and get DL... and if we can manage - Troupe as well

But I don't think we need to lose DM in the process... Russell maybe :)

Unless the Skin's trade down or somehow get extra picks Watson or Troupe won't be there with the 5th pick.

oh - true :) That is the thing we are saying - trade down... then get a Dlineman and Troupe or Watson... the NE scenario (if even credible) would be the best. That would put us in line to do both and in the right spots.
