Eli Manning

Post by Warmother »

Okay I know this is far fetched but I got to thinking when I heard on the radio the other day that San Diego may not take Manning because they are afraid of drafting a QB that high, especially after Ryan Leaf. So knowing how Dan Snyder likes to make a splash, what if the Skin's traded the 5th pick with Patrick Ramsey to SD for the 1st pick so that the Redskins could get Manning and let Him watch Brunell for a year or 2.
I wouldn't want this to happen but the thought was there so I thought I'd see what You guys thought of it.

Even though Danny likes to make a splash....I think that would be too risky a move even for him.

Hey, Is this 200?

Bite your tongue!!!!!! [-X ...Ramsey has proven himself to the skins...he needs some quality training from a real coaching staff...the competition with Brunell will be good for him...i for one never want to see Ramsey leave the skins and become a success on another team like all our recent QB's have done...he has tremendous raw talent. He’s a diamond in the ruff!!!

There´s no way Gibbs will make such a deal, Ramsey will be better than Eli Manniing in the upcoming years, Ramsey already proved that with an awful offensive line we have to wait and see Manning. All of us redskins fans will see in the upcoming years that Ramsey will be a Pro Bowler with at least a Superbowl ring. THE RAM IS THE RAM.

I'd give up Ramsey and the #5 for Eli Manning. (And I like Ramsey.)

i think that would be a stupid move. since i live in san diego, i have heard the same info that the chargers do not want to risk drafting a QB. leaf was such a $&($&%((*%^%&&)). but my personal feeling is that the bolts will pick manning. i rather is the chargers pick big ben (what ever is last name is) or maybe they trade down and get some extra pick and the pick rivers in the late 1st.

I don't know about Manning going to the skins. I love Ramsey's heart and desire and he will become a great qb. Eli may end up being better than his brother some day, but I still feel very comfotable knowing that Ramsey is on the Roster. I expect the Chargers to trade down and take Rivers. Look for Pittsburgh to try to trade up. They want a star qb badly. There best bet though would be to stick with pick and draft him. Getting two leaf's in a row isn't gonna happen.
I have travelled the net and found the Redskins promise land. This is, by far, the best site out there for Redskins/NFL News, Notes, Opinions, and so much more.

so you are saying you would trade a #5 pick and a proven young quarter back for someone who could petntally be better.. and leave a hole we could plug at 5?

One word would describe that deal......POINTLESS. I think ramsey is the BEST young and upcomming quarterback period. I would love for someone to argue that with me. Mark my words, if Ramsey stays healthy and learning all that he can from gibbs and the staff he will be a star. Which equals more superbowls for the skins

sounds good dont it?
