Kenny Holmes?

Post by nick24 »

Have anybody heard about the situation with him i know the redskins was interested in him but the last i heard he had no scheduled visit yet. I think he would be good addition to the line even though he got hurt last year he had 5 sacks in 9 games before he had surgery if he is healthly it would upgrade our line even more

I haven't heard much about him other than the Titans might try to get him to return to Tennessee. I know the Giants aren't in any rush to get him back. He would be a nice fit in our D but I'd rather pay him a lot less than he got the last couple of years and have him be a situational DE. I don't think the skins will jump on him unless the DE class thins out and not many come out in the June releases.
I have travelled the net and found the Redskins promise land. This is, by far, the best site out there for Redskins/NFL News, Notes, Opinions, and so much more.

I hope we sign Holmes, Favors, Brown, and draft Taylor. Our D would be awesome. We'd have to cut some guys to make it happen, but that would give us depth on both sides of the ball!
5 in a row or we don't go!

What I have tried to let everyone know is that we have another 5-7 mil in untapped cap space with some cuts we can make today... all of the camp fodder, Moore, Trung - there are certainly a lot of places to trim on a 60+man roster...

If we saw good FA that we want we could make the space...

One thing to think about - Gibbs and Williams evaluated FA and rated them - they are only going after people who rated A and better and want to be here... that was their criteria and that is why we haven't gone after particular personnel in my mind. They had a list of criteria in their heads, and they wouldn't have brought in a guy they didn't have a distinct plan for in a specific role or a need.

Just breathe easy - regular season is only 6 months off ::grin::

they certainly have a plan don,t they.
but a few more dollars freed up will be a luxury.
i would certainly take a player if that player indeed showed interest in the fact that he wanted to be here and play for the best in gibbs. of course that goes both ways too.

 i can breathe easy now thanks rich.
