If I was JC I would be hoping for a trade to the Bears in some kind of three way... Who wants to play in this zoo anyway?

JC said

- he can't get down on himself, hang his head
- he is a good qb. thinks he is one of the best young qbs in the NFL
- there is a lot of stuff that is out of his control
- talked to coaches and they said he was their guy. coaches told him he wasn't the problem
- said the doesn't feel unwanted by coaching staff or teammates, but doesn't know what goes up top (referring to front office)
- hasn't talked to Vinny or Snyder
- said this has given him a chip on his shoulder
- talked about how it's difficult to learn a new system every year
- ready to accept challenge of being a vocal leader
- said he wouldn't feel awkward if the trade doesn't go through

He says he has a chip on his shoulder now. Sounds like a win-win.

Jason Campbell at least is handling this situation with class. Why would a owner want (sorry to say) a qb with health risk, disrespectful whining baby?

I am no discussing Cutler with this saying...its not always the end result that matters, but how you got there.

I'm not understanding wut you're saying, clarify for me. You asked why I owner wants Cutler, its cus he thinks he can do what Jason CAN'T do it. Which is why Sanchez was here. They don't believe in Jason.

If we get Cutler id be happy because we have a franchise QB for the first time since ive been a Redskin fan.

If we dont get Cutler at least Campbell will have a huge chip on his shoulder. He also will be playing for a new contract.

Either way we might just have a Pro Bowl QB in DC for the first time since Brad Johnson. I still think Campbell needs to prove he can make the throws and I havent liked his play in DC so far. I have to say though I easily expect his best season from him now. I do have to say no matter what Campbell is a class act all the way.

Hey if he chokes though at least we have Colt.

I don't want a one year wonder b/c he has a contract pending. I don't see JC as a contract year player. I can see hte chip on his shoulder providing motivation, though. I don't think anyone can argue his ethic and character, and it seems to me that he has some people to prove wrong. With JC himself saying this situation's giving him a chip on his shoulder, I think this year could prove fruitful b/c of it.

Jason's chip on his shoulder should be his second-half performance from last year. I'm on record as having defended the guy but, come on, if you needed this to get motivated, that makes me worry.

Skinna Mob's point was that Campbell, despite his poor play (described by you), was handling the rumors/speculation with class as opposed to how Cutler handled his situation.

By you saying this, I take it that you don't care how (or who with) we score the points as long as we score.

My point, not necessarily against Cutler, is that while the end result of something may look good, the path you took to get there is just as important.

Some people need a near miss to make them open their eyes. Positively thinking, maybe this is it. Anyone here knows I'm not an avid JC supporter, but we have had worse than JC lately.

Exactly!!! Just cus I'm down on Jason that makes me an avid Cutler supporter??? NO!! I'm in SUPPORT OF SCORING MORE THAN 14 POINTS IN A *MEAN WORD* GAME. That's what I'm a supporter of. If Jason can do it, then he needs to get a darned tissue and man the heck up. If Cutler can do it...fine. Sanchez? I don't care. Colt? Fine with me.

Cutler looked better from a point-scoring standpoint in Denver, but whose to say what he will do here. The point most make in the case of Campbell is that his supporting cast lends to his difficulties, but isn't it equally as plausible that Cutler's supporting cast is part of the reason for his success.

I apparently didn't convey my point very well...oh well, life goes on. I would think every fan is for scoring more points, kind of the point of the game. I am not in love with anyone either, but a trade for Culter is going to cost too much, would have no problem giving Colt a chance, Sanchez is a wasted pick with other needs to be filled, and finally I have no issue with Campbell finishing out his contract...but we cannot keep flip flopping year-to-year if something doesn't work right away, gotta give things time.

Jason has had time. He hasn't been put in the best of situations are given much stability but even under those circumstances there are some areas in which theres no excuse for his stagnation. He's not going to work out here.

If Campbell is the QB here this season (and because of the cost I hope he is) I aso hope he has his best season ever

HOWEVER - I still will be pleasantly surprised if that is good enough - I just don't think he is a big time QB and playing better than what we saw is not going to elevate him to the status of the type of QB that I feel we need.

I think we should keep Campbell because of the cost to bring in Cutler - I also am a little concerned about how much we have to give up AND how many things we need to improve our team for the long term - Giving up 2 young very good players is just too much for this team to do.
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I dont want a one year wonder either. Id be afraid Campbell would put up big numbers get a huge contract and then fall flat. We almost signed him after his hot start last year. Im really happy we didnt.

The odds of Campbell re-signing with the Skins after the 09 season is over are slim. If the Skins dont get Cutler we would probably draft a QB in 2010.

The big question is if the Skins dont get Cutler do they try to get Stafford or Sanchez because the front office clearly things Campbell isnt the answer like most of us on this board.
