If I just got a $50 million dollar contract, I'd be wearing $5K dollar sunglasses.

not to mention those big diamond things weighing down his ears... yeah i didnt like the fact AT ALL that he acted at first as if the major one and only reason hes here is $$$ but... oh well ive always thought champ was great, but ive kinda always known since a year ago that it didnt look like he wanted to be here for any ammount of money, but also champ has been making a few million a year for awhile, this is portis' first step out of the league minimum and ofcourse hes gonna go out and bling bling alittle.. or alot  ... ok ok i bet he went out and bought a house, a few cars, and maybe even a dog with dollar sign spots

Champ wore a greyish-black sweater if I remember correctly, with a with tee shirt poking out where the V is formed at the top of the sweater. He also had earrings hanging from both ears, and a chain with a cross hanging around his neck.

Is that good enough description, because I feel like I am some reporter on the Red Carpet at the Academy Awards...

When i had "talked bad about champ", I said it because i felt he was taking shot's at the Redskins organization when he commented that he was a first-class player, and that he deserved a first class organization...You didn't hear Portis put down the Broncos organization today did you? NO, in fact he plenty of times gave them praise...Pretty classy guy especially when they where short changing him ... I don't remeber the skins short changing Champ??? :hmm:

PS. I like the upside down star in the back of your avatar...nice touch BH ;)

A Champ arrived at Broncos headquarters Thursday.

He provided no Ali-like shuffle and no grandiose predictions. No gold-plated title belt adorned his waist.

Rather, Pro Bowl cornerback Champ Bailey, the man the Broncos sacrificed star running back Clinton Portis to obtain, put on a humble face his first day as a Bronco.

After signing a $63 million deal that includes an $18 million signing bonus, Bailey made only one guarantee: This Champ won't be a chump

i only saw a little bit of the portis press conference, but what i did see didn't impress me much.

the shades bothered me, as did clinton's continual references to 'them' instead of 'us'. 'they' want to make it to the superbowl. i tried, however, to give him the benefit of the doubt; he's young, now incredibly rich, and has not yet played under coach gibbs. i'm sure by the time they get there, he'll be saying 'WE'RE going to the superbowl!'.

Exactly. He is only 22 and to me looked alittle nervous - like who wouldn't be. Champ was very professional and said the right things, and acted very classy. I will miss him and wish him well.

Portis is your typical player that comes out of Miami. They all sound like they have no formal education. Oh well he is payed to play football so I will let his actions speak for him.

I would have preferred Portis being a little more humble but, at his age, I suppose it's hard to be humble with your pockets weighing down so much with all of that money.

Regarding Champ, I busted on him for his greed..sure...but I also busted on him for his lack of desire to be a "Redskin".

Hopefully, Portis will lose the glitter on the playing field while piling on the yards and TDs.

I'm not hatin Surfskin, i am just saying to all those people that said Champ needed more money to buy more jewelry and rims for his cars and stuff. LOOK AT PORTIS and how he was dressed and how Champ was dressed. I never hate i condgradulate ......and besides you dont know me, or the circles i run with so you need to check yourself SON....

There were alot of people on here making those references and comments about Champ, but Clinton Portis showed up like exactly the way , they made Champ out to be.

Oh and u say dont hate the player hate the game. Well son i am a player and i never hate the game, i am so deep in the game, I MAKE MY OWN RULES.

champ didn't want to be redskin anymore and now he got his way...that's why he's fallen out of favor with me and many other redskin fans. it has nothing to do with what he wears or doesn't wear.

I can't wait to see the playa run all over the cowgirls next season. I could care less what he wore to the press conference. What difference will that make when he's scoring TDs on the pukes? None.

Portis denied that he was going to hold-out right after that was reported. You sure it wasn't the media twisting his comments??? Or where you standing right there when he said it???

Not to mention, according to Joe Gibbs, Champ stated he would not report to camp if we put the franchise tag on him, so they are even there.
