JLC give Jason Campbell some LOVE...!!!

Post by tribeofjudah »

let's start with the QB play. Believe it or not, I was getting JC-bashing emails during the game, right up until about 30 seconds before he threw the bomb to Moss. I mean, I was still getting "Give Colt a chance," crapola in the second half of that game. Pluh-eeze. Come on COCers. Get a grip.

Let's take out all of the great stuff JC did, and just look at what he didn't do. Dude has made, what, 20 starts? That's it. And so far this year he has curbed the biggest problem that plagued him in his 10 starts last year: Turnovers.

Two games. No picks. No fumbles. That's over a span of 63 attempts, peeps. Let's not forget that. Remember a year ago when it took like 10 weeks for a WR to catch a TD pass? Well, Moss has two of them already this year, and none was bigger than the 67-yarder Sunday. Ten different Skins have already caught passes from JC this season.

Did he find a way to use it to bash Dan Snyder?

I don't think it's really JLC!

who cares - why read or give any credibility to this moron?

it seems every year we have to remind people that we do not go to any site that has this stool's monika on it.

nobody here with any sense, is at all interested in what jlc writes or thinks

do not post this stuff - we have a lot more things to get into than what this bottom feeding scum is about - that is about as smack free as I can get
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Personally, I like his stuff. Its a great place to get updated info. Sure he's been wrong but so has Mort. He also says a lot of things I agree with. Nothing I can think of off the top of my head but still.

To each his own.

Everyone puts their angle in their report. It just so happens that a significant amount of people dislike this one guy. Someone must like him; he still has a job. I will continue to read all sources I come across and take each with a grain of salt.

Of course there are plenty of people in this area who would like his writing. There are a ton of Dallas and Pittsburg fans in my area, plus you have all the Cave-in fans in B-more. They all probably think he's great!

West coast fans like me need to read all resources they can find.
JLC gives me some of the inside scoop that we don't have out here in Cali. Redskins Nation is freakin blocked on Directv, but I scour the NET for anything I can find.

The Washington Post and ESPN are the two absolute worst sources of objective Redskins news. JLC is nothing more than a media troll. I'm sorry. JLC and ESPN are not the end all, be all of Redskins news. There are far more accurate and reliable sources. The Canadian sports news is more accurate. Blogs and columns are useless. Anyone can write one, and sadly, everyone does. But I can get those free. I'm not paying the WaPo for JLC's blogs and columns, not even by the "pay per click" and "pay per pop-up" advertising WaPo litters their website with. I won't give them even that much credit. Any reputable news source would fire JLC for being an anti-homer. I'm not saying the local sports writers should be wearing rose-colored glasses, but JLC is an overt hater of the Redskins. How could any Redskins fan take anything he prints seriously?

I propose THN make a rule that states that citing either the WaPo or ESPN in any discussion thread for any reason is not allowed. Anyone who wants to read those websites can go to them directly.

Please spare the rest of us the time and trouble of having to mark all that garbage "read."

My 2 cents

I mostly dislike JLC's arrogant swagger. It's no good even being right if you're a complete a-hole. But, you are right, to each his own.

Free press is the ability to print and publish one's own work.
Copying and pasting someone elses work isn't free press.
In the case of copying and pasting JLC's handiwork, it would be more accurate to say that it is duplicating rumors, ennuendo, gossip and bald-faced lies, with the occasional accidental truth thrown in by mistake.

It's only a suggestion. One of the many that I'm sure find their way into BH's inbox. I would call JLC and the WaPo far beyond peavish. I would call it dissemination of false information, which is then retransmitted and reproduced by people who either accept it blindly as factual, or much like the facsimile that reached the wrong machine, read it purely for the remote chance of entertainment value.

I don't need Mark to point out that the buck stops with him as far as how this site is run.

I don't really mind the Washington Post's coverage of the Redskins, but I'm not a big fan of the NFC East blog on ESPN written by Matt Mosley. Half the stories seem to be about the Cowboys, probably because he used to write for the Dallas Morning News. Again, that's just my opinion, and being a Redskins fan doesn't help the matter....

He has also openly admitted to being a Cowboys fan and I agree, the East blog has a decidedly Texas slant

Jason Campbell was never the problem. When Thomas or Kelly take over Randle ELs starting spot the passing game will be hit or miss.

We cant expect Moss to be singled up and getting long bombs every game. We need a more reliable and steady 3rd down converter. Moss is more of the home run threat. Cooley is a great option but teams will focus the defense on him in upcoming games. Randle El is just not the answer as the number 2. So when Thomas or Kelly step up is when this offense will really take off. In fact I wouldnt mind the team exploring options to trade Randle El next year.

Other than that Jason Campbell is doing good and really he usually is on target. Cooley and Moss had big games which is usually what happens when the Skins win. Now that teams have film they will target Moss and Cooley is stopping the pass. Stack the box against portis to try and stifle the run.

When the 3rd viable option coming from the 2 WR spot steps up this offense will be lethal. Fred Davis could become that, Kelly or Thomas maybe? Jason Campbell is doing fine. He looked poised Sunday and made decent throws and reads.

The real tests will come two weeks in a row. Cowboys then Eagles week. I cant wait.
Sean Taylor starting free safety Heavens team!

Based off of his 1st two games (I know, but it's all the data we have atm) ARE is on par for 88 rec and 1008 yds. Those numbers are well above his career highs. I don't think he'll get those #s, but that's what the average is looking like now. I realize (and pray) that we'll have more receivers c ontributing more (like the rooks) but so far, the numbers aren't looking that bad.

I'm one who doesn't believe in JC and will still stick to my opinion ever after the New Orleans heroics. I've never doubted JC can throw, only that he can get his passes off or find targets under a heavy rush, which he can't. He did well against NO because they were dinged up pretty badly and were playing without an effective rush or competent DBs, a situation JC can exploit. Does his success against NO promised success down the road. No. Our line won't hold up against a good rush and he won't find targets covered by better DBs.

Even against NO, we would have lost had not Portis been wearing a cape and Horton playing D with a horseshoe up his keister.
