Phelps Sucks

Post by BossHog »

.. okay, maybe he doesn't.

Actually, he doesn't in any way - I just wanted to be controversial. :-)

Unbelievable what he's doing. What a stud. To me, the mental fortitude required to do what he's doing, is far more impressive than the obvious physical prowess possessed. His goggles filling with water and still winning is just the stuff that legends are made of too. Loved the comment, 'I guess he can do it with his eyes closed.'

I have a very interesting thought though, I think that Phelps should only win seven golds. I think he should just tie Spitz. That would be really 'nice' wouldn't it? They both stand together, and besides Phelps has already locked up the career title, and he'd be putting his career total at 14 golds. That's a good number.

He doesn't need the eighth... he doesn't need the 15th.

So I think you should all cheer against Phelps tommorrow morning in the 100m fly. Cheer for the Canadian kid instead. (Go Joe.) It's the right thing to do.

Incidentally, I picked up my Team Bartoch shirt today (that Joe's mom left for me before she left) and I will be wearing it proudly tomorrow morning when he starts his heats. All joking aside, he's an exceptionally nice, humble young man, and very deserving of a little greatness.

Okay, so maybe it's a little much to expect my American friends to not want Phelps to win eight golds. How about this? Can you at least all hope that Joe wins silver? I know he'd appreciate the positive vibe. :-)

So in closing - Phelps totally sucks anyway - big deal, five gold medals so far. Joe's gonna smoke him.

Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

Well, that certainly had a surprise ending! 0.01 second. That was one agonizingly long stroke... ughhhh....

He was the Redskins to the Serbian dude's Jets. Phelps didn't win, the Serbian Coaster lost by gliding into the wall. Still, he made the right decisions and it worked out well for him, so I'm not taking anything away from his accomplishment.

No. I have a sore tooth, so it would be more like "Dethtiny."
