SKINS FINISH IN DIVISION?- SCOTT CACCIATORE WANTS TO KNOW

Post by scottcacciatore »

So with the NFC East probably being the toughest division in football where do you all think the Skins will finish? I have read anywhere from 1st to 4th. My prediction is 3rd. I think the Cowboys are the best overall team. They have a very strong offense, despite concerns about Romo after a bad playoff game last year. I think the Eagles will be second. They are defintely going to bounce back from last year. McNabb will be back and adding Samuel to an already strong secondary will help them alot. You just know they will be back this season. I think the Skins will be 3rd and thats assuming Campbell improves and becomes an above average QB. They have alot of talent on offense, but also very young talent in Kelly, Davis, and Thomas, along with Campbell. They are all learning a new system on offense which usually takes a while to totally grasp. Problem is in their divison they really cant waste 8 games trying to get up to speed on the new offense..The defense will be good even though I am a little worried about the secondary. I actually think the Giants will come in last. I still have no idea how they won the Super Bowl last season with a team that in my opinion was the second worst of all the playoffs teams in both conferences...but hey miracles do happen. Eli comes back down to earth, the Giants finally miss Shockey, Plaxico has injury woes, the defense performs more like they did during the regular season last year and they finish last.

Cowboys 12-4
Eagles 10-6
Redskins 9-7
Giants 7-9

i have given up on predictions. i had picked the gnats to self implode after about 8 games last year, which was right in the middle of thier winning streak.

i also thought the pukes were going to struggle with phillips as coach, and that didn't happen either.

this year,,,,, third place would be a step in the right direction for the skins with a new staff in place. i can't help but think that zorn is a dan snyder 'yes man'. i hope they suprise me. if we do make it out in third place, i only hope we can build on it. we'll see. buckle your seatbelt and hold on. it could be a bumpy ride.

This is truly amazing. Scott Cacciatore has predicted us to go 9-7 and finish 3rd in the division. I don't even think I'll watch the games this season, because Scott Cacciatore is never wrong. After all, he is Scott Cacciatore.

First: Preseason predictions mean nothing. Time and time again the league has demonstrated that every year, invariably, there is at least one surprise team that comes out of nowhere to mash up every preseason prediction.

Second: The Skins have one thing on their favor. Nobody believes in them. New coach, new scheme, new beggining. They have a lot talent. Can they mix it right?????

And Third: Speculating on NFC foes on a Skins website is rather useless. Few, if any of the forum users, will give an objetive assesment of the hated Cowgirls, Beagles and Gnats. Here´s mine: Dallas has an inmense amount of pressure because everyone says they are the best team; they can implode easily. Phily is only an injury away form McNabb to destroy their season. NY, being SB champs, will have an underachieving season.

Who knows really? But I have a feeling the Cowboys won't win the division. The very fact that everybody in the world is predicting them to win the division makes it less likely. hahah.

I think maybe the Eagles will get back to form and be the team in the East. Westbrook was awesome as usual last season, and a healthy and motivated McNabb won't hurt either. As much as I can't stand them, Andy Reid has just been a flat out solid coach for years now. That's gotta count for something too.

Impossible to know what to expect from the Skins this season with Zorn and everything. I'm just going to sit back and try to enjoy that ride. And what? We have a game tonight? What is that strange feeling I'm having right now? It feels a lot like when I turn on Cinemax after 11 pm... what IS that?

I thought Scott Cacciatore was a guy named Scott, who, during the revolutionary war, captured a British loyalist.

Yes, talking about yourself in the third person is very endearing - not a sure sign of arrogance or anything...

... that'd be BossHog's guess anyway.

OK. I don't think I'll watch the games, Scott Cacciatore is never wrong? Yeah, I just over reacted saying his post was an overreaction, you got me there. I'm feeling the embarassment today.

Wait, that wasn't embarassment. But on a more interesting topic, what is it you're sucking on in your emoticon?

for all the support...and for all the jokesters...Scott Cacciatore likes the speak in 3rd person just like many of our beloved Skins in their press conferences. Scott Cacciatore predicts the Skins upset the Giants in week one and send shockwaves throughout the NFL!!!

9-7 seems realistic to me - it reflects the talent level on the team, but also anticipates some of the hiccups that usually happen with a first year coach.

However, I cannot yet understand how 'experts' are picking the Eagles to do so well. I see us and the Giants fighting it out for the second spot (and possibly the wildcard) in the division.

I still say it's based on the "lazy expert" rule. They pick the division alphabetically. They always pick Dallas first and the Redskins last.

Team Names:

1st - Cowboys
2nd - Eagles
3rd - Giants
4th - Redskins

or Cities

1st - Dallas
2nd - New York
3rd - Philly
4th - Washington

It's almost always one of these two variations...

Cleg thinks that the Eagles are way overrated and will finish last in the division in McNabb's last year with the team. Cleg further thinks the Gnats will come back to earth and fight with the Redskins for 2nd place in the division. Unfortunately Cleg see's the Cowpies winning the division. But Cleg sees this being a very positive season for the beloved Skins.

I'm glad I could provide such solace. Actually it's important to me in life to be sure at some point to admit when I was wrong or misunderstood something. If it makes you feel any better I was really thinking about my own need to do that and not your ability to sleep.

Tell Scott Cacciatore he's way off base with his prediction. This is the real finish.
