DeWayne Robertson

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

DeWayne Robertson

Dewayne Robertson trade: Sources say the Jets do not receive a pick in this weekend’s draft. They will get a conditional late-rounder in 2009, which can go as high as a second rounder based on playing time. Robertson, who had two years left on his Jets deal, signed a new 5 year contract with the Broncos. No word on the amount, but you can bet it’s a lot less than his Jets money.

If this is all Robertson cost, I'm wondering why the Redskins didn't go after him.

the jets had to save face and get something for him cause they owe him such a huge bonus if they kept him. Standard Broncos picking up highly drafted washed up lineman.

The Jets may receive nothing from the Dewayne Robertson trade with the Broncos.

Robertson flunked the Broncos' physical, but the team decided he was worth the risk. If Robertson plays in less than 65 percent of the defensive plays in 2008, the Jets will not receive a 2009 pick. They will get a third-rounder if he does make 65 percent, but the Broncos eight-man rotation and Robertson's balky knee make that scenario unlikely.
