Alexander to be cut?

SHAUN GETTING THE SHAFT?
We're hearing multiple rumblings from our connections at the Scouting Combine that the Seahawks could be cutting running back Shaun Alexander soon.
A media source told us moments ago that the move could come "in the next couple of days."
It would be the last step in a dramatic fall from grace for running back the NFL's MVP in 2005. Once Alexander got rewarded with a big contract in 2006, his performance began to dip. In 2007, he was, as the league insider types say, "just a guy."
Alexander is under contract through 2013, with total remaining non-guaranteed base salaries of $43.1625 million.

i know its just a rumor and it probably wont happend. i just wanted to talk about how bad this guy has gotten. i'm sure losing steve hutchinson sucked, but that doesnt get shaun off the hook for his awful play since his new contract. It's just amazing how much of a difference there is. Shaun, what happend?

I am on record as saying at the time, Alexander benefited more from his O line than his own skills - any other back with even modest skills would have looked great behind that line and especially the left side
It takes a team, people - get the right mix of players and in todays NFL you might even beat "the best NFL team ever"

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I think he was not that great before the Arrington hit
This guy was not as good as the media made him out to be and his "numbers" were more due to the way he was used and who he played with

Crowded in the backfield there, I think they might be getting ready to unload Alexander. Didn't TJ ducket play for mora in atlanta? I wonder if his signing is for when he takes over.

You're insane. JJ isn't Marion Barber III, but he's definitely not a bad back.
...any given Sunday....
RIP #21 Sean Taylor. You will be loved and adored by Redskins fans forever!!!!!

The National Anthem sucks.
What a useless piece of propagandist rhetoric that is.

He's not very good, though. Last year averaged 3.6 ypc, running behind the exact same line where Marion Barber averages 4.8 ypc, and Tyson Thompson got 3.9 ypc.

He was the 2nd back. Could be that the O wasn't geared for his strengths and that he was just 'fit in'. I really didn't watch too many of hte 'boys games except the two that I always watch.

"SoulJuice" will do that to ya. Or was it SoJu... Something that involves a big pan big straws and Koolaid.
If he's as good as you guys say he is, then it's good that we won't see him 2wice a year. IMO when Seahawks lost Hutch, the running game suffered.
