Did Herm Edwards stick it to the Jets again?

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Did Herm Edwards stick it to the Jets again?

Post by PigSkin »

With the Jets victory over the Chiefs in week 17, Kansas City actually comes out ahead in the draft order. Even though both teams finished 4-12, KC could pick as low as third, whereas the Jets will get the sixth pick.

You can't win for losing....

Herm Edwards is on the same par with Bobby Petrino. He told the Jets players he would be back. Then he just took a plane to Kansas City and never told the Jets players good bye.

I dont think Herm Edwards is a good coach at all. As is evidenced by the Cheifs horrible record this year. I give Herm one to two more seasons before he is fired.

I'm with you HEROHAMO. I was in the NY area during that whole thing and I couldn't get why the Jets OR Chiefs wanted him. He was constantly mocked in the NY media for his decision making, and it seemed rightly so.

Yeah. One thing I cant stand is when a coach cant keep his word. At least be man enough to tell the team why you are leaving.

I agree, but I'm saying though beyond that he didn't seem to even be good coach. Gibbs was mocked this year for playcalling and time management. Edwards never seemed to master that. And yet two teams wanted him? I didn't get it.

That as well. I can overlook a so so play caller if he is a great leader. Obviously he is not a good leader, play caller etc..

Well that is three characteristics that make for a very bad coach. He is kind of funny though. I will give him that.

In my opinion I think that the Chiefs need to fire Edwards. What have the Chiefs done since he has been there, and not only that but if I remember correctly I think when the fans were upset about a game that they lost recently he told the fans to get over it? What kind of a statement is that to say to your fans.
