Dolla Bill just put together a hell of a season........particularly after being hurt last year and the stuff the team et al have been through this year.
I think he wins the award outright.
The only other I could think of was Randy Moss but he was not hurt so much as just being a little bitch in Oakland last year.
Maybe Todd Collins but he only played the past 4 games.
Who else in the league has done better than CP?
Portis=NFL comeback player of the year?

I don't know. Just looking at the Redskins, Fred Smoot has made a big comeback this year, Andre Carter has rebounded from a tough first year in DC, Anthony Montgomery has come on leaps and bounds from his rookie year. Heck, Derrick Frost might even be a contender in Washington.
So, no I don't think CP is NFL comeback player of the year. But he's certainly shown me something about his leadership capabilities over the last few weeks, and his 100% commitment on the field has never been in doubt.

Clinton Portis followed by Todd Collins because, let us admit it, Todd was never "there" in the first place. So, it is a bit difficult to argue that he is having a "come back". Like a great book or movie, there are other great stories to tell. Players playing in pain? Players playing with a heavy heart? Rookies or undrafted agents coming out of nowhere to do a great job? Players older and younger stepping up? What a season, what season.
Having said so, the come back men of the year ARE: Joe Gibbs -and- the coaching staff (Buges, Byner and others) IMHO. It is as IF we had changed EVERYTHING on offense -and- defense. The story behind putting together, patching up and rebuilding that OL is AWESOME. Buges is a genius.
GW has gotten our Defense to play their best and most aggressive game now, when it matters the most. I do not know what will happen next Saturday. But I know one thing: Seattle will need to bring absolutely their BEST game to beat us because this time we are not going to help them.

Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!
