sean taylor stories

Post by madman »

I cant believe this has happened. This is a sad day in redskin land and my heart goes out to his family. I remember his first game he played was Miami in preseason. I went with his family to the game. We took a bus where i sat with his mom and dad and relatives. They were all very nice. We had a cookout and then headed to the game. My mother in law worked at Gulliver where he went to high school. I remember his dad getting a ball signed from him right after the game for me when people were mobbing him for an autograph. He signed the ball and gave it to me. It was great day to be a redskins fan knowing we had a star in the making for the next 10-15 years.

Sean you will be greatly missed and never forgotten.RIP

All I can picture is the smile he flashed and the care he took with Jackson during the incident written in the blog. I still can't believe it.

Yep. I also blogged about it in July when it happened. The Sean Taylor that interacted with Jackson that day was not the Sean Taylor that the media had portrayed.

My top moment too.

And of course that hit at the Pro Bowl.
Words can't express the loss I feel in my heart.

We will always remember you.

Sean Taylor was known for his hard hits.

His hardest hit will always be the day that he was taken from us.

personally, i loved it when he picked up the blocked punt last year vs. dallas. and how gibbs said that of all the players on the field, the one guys hands he wanted that ball in was STs.

I will always remember him returning the blocked kick against the Cowboys leading Nick Novak to the game winning FG.

That memory and when he dove into the endzone against the Eagles securing our wildcard spot are my 2 favorite.

My only personal memory that sticks out is when he signed autographs for fans in 05 and really started to reach out a little bit more and more.

He was smiling and personable and was nothing like what the national media portrayed him.

Other than that, his second-to-none talent and hard hits makes him impossible to forget.
