Linebacker Ben Taylor?

Post by Jake »

The Washington Redskins also have shown substantial interest this offseason, Lattinville said, noting his client probably won't sign anywhere until next month.

I'm okay with him if he's a super special teams player. We don't need another starter at LB. He could replace Posey on the roster.

What happened to Spencer Havner...you know the stud from UCLA projected 1st day pick that fell to us....and we never used him? Can he be any more of a risk than a guy who got beat out by Brady Poppinga?

McCune is with Miami's team now. He played all of last season with them but didn't get into any games.

Saw on ESPN that the Packers signed him to a extension...........just another example of an agent using the Redskins to get his client's value up.

I'm going to try that when I get my annual review at work.

"Boss, I've really enjoyed working here, but the 'skins are offering me a long-term deal, as well as a significant signing bonus, so can you take another look at those numbers for my annual raise and bonus?"

Think it could work?

While I don't really agree with it, Mel Kiper actually has the Skins taking Safety Laron Landry in the early first round...IF that happened, (and i don't know why it would) we could see Sean roaming the field.

:-k Hmm...If the Skins are unable to trade down and they come to the conclusion that none of the d-linemen are worth taking that high, I wouldn't mind having that guy.

This is from Kiper's chat wrap yesterday if you're interested:

C.Alex (silver spring,MD): In your latest draft board, you have Laron Landry going to the Skins @#6. Is he a good complement to Sean Taylor or too similiar of a safety?

Mel Kiper: Most teams don't use a free and a strong safety any more. If Landry is the best defensive player at that point, they have a need in that area. Obviously, Atlanta at 8 is the ideal fit for Landry. I don't think Washington will stay at 6. I think they're trading off of 6.
