Anna Nicole Smith was pronounced dead

Post by BernieSki »

WOW!!! Very sad.

Reality TV star and former Playboy playmate Anna Nicole Smith was pronounced dead Thursday after being found unconscious in her Florida hotel room, a law enforcement source told CNN. Smith's son, Daniel Wayne Smith, died just days after the birth of Smith's infant daughter.

No takers on that one, except that the drugs and booze were themselves probably a result of the combining of an unsophisticated mind with absurd celebrity and money.

It's hard not to suspect there's something particular toxic about success in America. Too many fail to survive it.

I would venture to say that it isn't success that is toxic so much as it is celebrity.

you didnt expect this? that like not expecting jerry garcia to have died, or kieth richards to die at any moment. on so many drugs for so long. plus she just lost a lot of weight so im sure she was on the verge of a massive heart attack anyway.

i guess its a loss? she was quite a positive influence on society

I really want to ask a question about her work, and whether or not i can still do something with her work, but then this would get moved to smack.

I sense a hint of sarcasm.

I sincerely hope so.

This does seem to be one of the least unpredictable events of the 21st century to date. I find myself completely unmoved.

Not to wag my finger at the lot here, but as unmoving as ANS's death is, there's still an 8-month old baby out there with no mother or (known) father. That's at least a little moving, I would hope.

ahem... Howard K. Stern, the attorney, no the shock jock.

The death of another human being should indeed be moving. Whether the fact that I am utterly unmoved by this news is a greater reflection of me than it is of Ms Smith, I don't know.

I never really got the ANS thing. She had popularity, I guess, but NOOO talent. She was a stripper with fake boobs. Everytime you saw her picture she looked different. Isn't it sad that this country finds a person like that intriguing? Seriously? I find it also sad that there are already 3 guys claiming to be the baby's dad...sure more will come out of the woodwork. Was she sleeping with everyone she ran across?

I do feel badly for that baby...hopefully, someone steps in and gives her a chance.

I didn't at all mean to imply that your unmovedness is a poor reflection on you, or anyone here. I hope it didn't come off that way.
