Now what do we do?
Brunell is now on the bench, meaning no ,are Mark Brunell threads, no more offerings from TRO.
Who's up next?
Can't complain CP isn't getting the ball enough.
Looks like TJ will be playing more also.
AA won't be getting beat deep form the sidelines
Who's the next whipping boy?

Hopefully, nobody.1niksder wrote:Who's the next whipping boy?
But Sean Taylor could become a magnet for critics if he keeps biting on fake plays. Carlos Rogers has improved a little but enough.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

Funny, I didn't get the memo.

If Jason were to say, turn an ankle or rupture an ACL, on the first play, the #8 car could be right back under center.

Back and better than ever!

Hey redeemed you know I admire your faith man. But why such blind loyalty to no. 8. Maybe he isnt the best thing for the Skins anymore. We all wanted him to do well but it just hasnt panned out. So why not give the young guy a chance. Start a new tailgate13? Huh why not? Your just the guy to lead the cheer squad. Ill be waiting.REDEEMEDSKIN wrote:1niksder wrote:...no more offerings from TRO.

I can't believe you even put that in print. For your sake, I hope it doesn't happen.

this is precisely why brunell should be cut outright instead of just benched. there is no reason for him to be here anymore. if campbell goes down, collins should play, so we can see if he's a viable backup for next year. brunell is nothing but a colossal waste of time.

Once again I have to agree with the delusionless dcd, one of the few guys I know who doesn't try to fool himself. Brunell should be retired with honors. If he hangs around, Gibbs might use the first Campbell miscue as an excuse to put Brunell back in for the rest of the season. Remember Ramsey. Gibbs used Jansen's missed block to end Ramsey's career with the Skins.

DCD,
I hear ya. But remember, "Loyal" Joe went and got Brunell off the scrap heap when pretty much no one else wanted him. Another personnel blunder on Joe and his coaches. That move right there showed immediately that Joe bought immediately into Snyder's way. I bet that if we had a real GM the Brunell move would have never been made and we would have had to go with Ramsey until Campbell was ready and our current situation may not be so bleak....

Thanks for the kind words, HEROHAMO. They are well received.
As for rooting for JC, it will happen. I just feel a little bummed having to inform the TRO Marketing dept. that we have to cancel our orders for "Brunell for Super Bowl XLI MVP" Playoff run baners, car flags, bumper stickers, and coozies.
Of course, I trust the TRO braintrust to come up with something catchy along the lines of "The Tailg8".
For now, please settle for:
"Viva JC!!!"
It's the best I could do on short notice.

Back and better than ever!

Quit cryin'already and become a Jets fan or something. Ramsey was never Gibbs' guy. Gibbs handpicked JC to succeed Mark. Unfortunately, the time frame for JC's development in the Saunders system collapsed quickly with Brunell's inconsistent play.
Let's pray for the best with JC. He's also supersmart, and all through college he played his guts out. He's a winner.

Back and better than ever!

um, i think i agree with you? what is going on here. that is, i agree with you if what you're saying is basically, gibbs will stick with campbell since he's "his kid", he picked him whereas he inherited ramsey.
i'm not at all worried that campbell will be benched and brunell resurrected, barring injury. i believe gibbs will "stay the course" and let campbell develop.
i'm just saying, i think it is a waste of time even to have brunell back-up. he should absolutely not be on the team next year (we don't need a $5 million back-up QB!), so we should see if collins can be a viable back-up if campbell gets injured.

I honeslty think Gibbs did it to ease the process for Brunell.
The road to the number 1 pick gaining speed!

I about 3-4 games the people who demanded we bench Brunell or fire Gibbs because he's addled in the brain for not doing so will be calling Gibbs addled for starting Campbell and demanding he be fired.
Right now, everyone can be happy though because those of us who defended Gibbs and those who attacked him wanted Brunell to sit.

If Campbell does not do well, I won't call for Gibbs' head as the head coach, more as GM. Gibbs can't play for Jason. He can only evaluate his talent. It is up to Jason to do his thing now that he has his chance. I expect for him to have some bumps but I think that with game experience and experience in Al's system that he will be a good QB for this team this season and beyond.

Why Brandon Lloyd? He has made every play he could. He is one of those receivers that doesn't have to be "open" to throw to. I think we will see some chemistry with him and Campbell because of this. A yound quarterback can get a lot of confidence by having receivers who can make a play on a ball that isn't necessarily perfectly thrown. I personally think B Lloyd is a sleeping giant on this team. How about the O-line as a group of whooping boys?
