Tiki Barber to retire? Hall of famer?

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Tiki Barber to retire? Hall of famer?

Post by 1fan4ramsey »

According to Fox Sports, Tiki Barber wants to retire at years end. Do you think he will, and do you think he's a "Hall of Famer" as mentioned in the article?

For reference, Tiki's career stats.

His career stats don't seem to argue for his induction.

Not even close to the HOF and as far as his retirement goes, fingers crossed, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Seriously - I know they played two totally different positions and in two different eras. But if Tiki gets in while Art is languishing outside of the Hall. This is when I blow up the HOF in Canton, Ohio while wearing an Art Monk mask. With Peter King and the rest of the morons from the media inside.

tiki was a "good" running back for the vast majority of his career. scratch that- a good runningback with a fumbling problem. only in the past 2 seasons has he even ventured into "very good" status. hall of fame backs have to be exceptionally good for more than 2 seasons! not even close.

You are forgetting Tiki was a Giant, and most if Peter Puffer's reasoning for keeping Monk out is because he talked to Giants and they were more afraid of Gary Clark. Tiki may be a shue in.

Tiki Fumble Barber. I noticed that they did not bother putting the fumbles with his stats. I don't understand why Tiki Fumble Barber did not wait until the season was over until he announced that he will be retiring. This is a distraction and Tiki Fumble Barber is only thinking about himself. HOF? Yeah, when pigs fly. And if they put him in before Art Monk, even if they put in Tiki Fumble Barber at all then they should be ashamed of themselves.

Peter King said the other day on the Dan Patrick Show that Tiki got his vote because he has been great for three years. Dan Patrick said that Terrell Davis was great for four, but Peter King said he didn't play long enough.

Apparently, in Peter King's world, 3 years of greatnesst preceded by 7 years of mediocrity is more deserving than four years of greatness ended by an injury.
