Hognostications NFL Week 6

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Hognostications NFL Week 6

Post by Redskin in Canada »

The sooner this NFL Week 5 is over, the better for me and probably most of you as well. What a terrible week to be a Redskins fan. How far does all that talk about the Superbowl sound now? I can not even hear it that's how far it is. Never believe the hype.

Our Skins will improve and they will play back at home against NY and the Pukes. I am not worried ... yet. But this team has been shown to have some weaknesses that will need to be addressed sooner rather than later.

In addition to the Picks form that you fill-in every week, you have:

- Weekly Pool Standings

- Season Pool Standings

- Pool Consensus

- Pool History

and last but not least, ALL the player STATPACKS:

- Player Statpacks

Well, I am trying to move on and so are the Redskins. Here are the Hognostications for NFL Week 6:

Sunday, October 15 (ET)

Eagles at Saints 1:00 PM
Seahawks at Rams 1:00 PM
Titans at Redskins 1:00 PM
Bengals at Buccaneers 1:00 PM
Panthers at Ravens 1:00 PM
Texans at Cowboys 1:00 PM
Bills at Lions 1:00 PM
Giants at Falcons 1:00 PM

Chiefs at Steelers 4:15 PM
Chargers at 49ers 4:15 PM
Dolphins at Jets 4:15 PM
Raiders at Broncos 8:15 PM

Monday, October 16 (ET)

Bears at Cardinals 8:30 PM

The deadline for the submission of picks is:

Week 6: Friday October 13th (9:00 PM)

NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

PS Everybody is free to post any picks you want for -any- game. I am all for free speech as always.

Man, there are some really tough match-ups this week. I just made my picks but I seriously doubt I'll be able to keep up with the last few weeks' scores I've been having.

A couple of the games I found really tough to pick this week:

Bills-Lions
Rams-Seahawks
Dolphins-Jets
Steelers-Chiefs

My picks are in. All I can do now is prey, I suppose. Gotta try to catch up to that CLL dude!

I made my picks in the usual scientific / unscientific / psychic Hognostication manner. They will be posted with Texas Hog's article and mine later in the week.

The Hognostications articles prepared by Texas Hog and myself have been posted on the appropriate page:

http://www.the-hogs.net/Hognostications/

You know now where we stand on our respective picks.

27 Hognosticators in total have made their picks at the first cut. Interesting differences and coincidences.

thaiphoon: there really is no sense in posting your picks in this thread, unless you're certain they're gonna be error-free.

...or if you're a little full of yourself. My 2 cents

Best of luck in this week's Hognostications.

Anybody can post anything relating to Hognostications. He is just trying to be funny, ... as always, you know.

With the exception of the Saint Louis game, those are the perfect picks.

Weekly scores and season standings have been updated. Thanks BossHog.

Of course, MNF is still to be played but everybody picked Chicago. So, the winner of this week's Hognostications is Kearney420 with a score of 10 - 2. Congratulations!

The Cinci and Washington game appear to have really spoiled the scores of most Hognosticators. Who would have thought, eh? This is the LEAST of our concerns considering the way the season appears to be headed if a miracle does not happen soon.

We all have down weeks and this week was CLL's turn among the leaders. We have now a tie at the top:

Code: Select all

Visit the Hognostications page to check your progress.
 1 CLL                   62   24   0   72.1      N/A     6.0     6     86
 1 JPM36                 62   24   0   72.1      N/A    19.6     6     86

Check the main Hognosticationspage to check upon your progress this week and throughout the season so far.

Nice work Kearney420. I gave you a run for the money, but Baltimore couldn't pull it out.

At least I leaped over RiC in the standings. That's all that matters (aside from the horror of that game we all witnessed).

Me and other 50 other posters in the weekly standings.

You also improved quite a lot in the season standings. Congratulations on your second place and keep it up in the season standings.

Enjoy your lead while it lasts. Just ask Redeemed or Jake what can happen from one week to the next. The same can happen to -any- of us.

I can't even be bothered to look at the standings this week. I was badly let down by so many teams that were so obviously better than their opposition.

If teams aren't going to bother to play their best, then why should I bother to pick them?

They're all out to get me, I tell you.

Thanks! Collectively, all the Hognosticators have a pretty awesome percentage. But who knows how it will shake out... I could have gone the other way on at least 50% of the games picked.

A field goal or less separated victors from vanquished teams in SEVEN games.

Could there be a more -perfect- way to disguise that they are ACTUALLY up to get you? I think not.

Check it HERE. :hmm:
