Jacked up. I thought I was seeing Sean Taylor for a minute there. . .
I don't really like Chad, but I certainly don't wish injury on him, and I hope that he recovers well from this; all reports were that he was very fuzzy on the sidelines.

I'm not sure. I can't tell from the youtube videos what really happened. My guess is that the defensive back timed his hit for when the ball would have arrived in Chad's hands. When the DB picked it right in front of Chad, it was probably too late for the safety to change anything. . .
I can't tell, does anyone know if Chad get a hand on that ball or was it picked clean before it even got to him?
it was picked off right in front of him. but he did extend out for the ball, and would have touched it/caught it had it gotten there. it was clean, russell timed it PERFECT.

Glock .40 Model 22 - First* line of home defense.... 'ADT' is for liberals.
I'm not arguing that it WAS an illegal hit; in fact, quite the opposite. I'm wondering why that hit, where Johnson has his arm outstretched to receive the ball, is more acceptable than the Taylor from Sunday, or the Ryan Clark hit from the Giants game last year.

Maybe its just me but Id glady take a 15 yarder early in the game to set the tone. You smash one of those loud mouth WR's up real good early on and he'll short arm plenty of passes. I mean lay his behind out. I love Chad but he needed to get checked. Trent is a great QB but I hate sliding pansy QB's. These offensive players need to wear skirts.
I don't know... saw the interview of Chad on NFLN last night... he had a great attitude about it... called it a "Great" hit... He then addressed the Pittsburgh defensive backs, by name, and said... "I know this is going up on their board, but, I'm sorry... SOMEBODYs got to pay!"

He also said something like "You only get hit like that once every 6 years or so, so that won't be happening again."
Hopefully for you, Chad, it won't!

I wonder what Troy Palamalu would have to say about that.
None the less, I have a feeling that once every 6 years is enough to shorten up your arms considerably.
