Fantasy Football

Post by skins#1fan »

Ok guys my draft is tomorrow and there are no smarter fans to get advice from than you guys. I am going to list a few people that are on my board/bubble and tell me what you think and where they would go for you.

Alexander...Larry Johnson....Ladani. Who is the best pick?
Stephen Jackson
Rudi Johnson

Carson Palmer
Jake Delhome
Dante Culpepper
jake plumber
mark bulger

and what defense will produce more points the bears or panthers...I would say bears because of such a bad division....

Since no one else has commented, I'll jump in.

I think that you are about to be very surprised and very underprepared for your first fantasy draft. You can't target a couple of guys you want and then be done. What will you do when those guys aren't available?

What you need to do is to rank the ....

Wife is calling.....I'll have to come back to this!

Just make a list of all positions and all the players in the top 200 and rank them by position and preference.

Then check off anyone that is taken off the board by you and any other team.

Then you will still have YOUR prefered players on the list to look through.

I know how to play fantasy and I have my rankings im just wondering what ur guys thoughts were on some of these players. IE Carson plamer. Do you think he will recover enough to be an effective qb? Or who would u take if u had the choice between Larry Ladani or Alexander?

I think with QB's, it's a crap shoot. I mean you never know if one is going to have a season ending injury that will totally screw up your team. I don't play fantasy football any more because I'm really bad at remembering to watch every team in the league.
Whenever I start to get blue, I just breathe!

My favortie line from the Simpsons:

Flanders: "Looks like someone is having a pre-rapture party!"

Homer: "No Flanders, it's a meeting of gay witches for abortion , you wouldn't be interested!"

OK, but what are you going to do if none of the people that you want are available? What if your choice is between Ronnie Brown or Peyton Manning? What if its between Larry Fitzgerald, and Brian Westbrook? What happens when you have selected three running backs and two quarterbacks, but no WR's after the first five rounds? What about when your best available TE's are Chris Mangum, or Ben Watson? This is why you need to look at the scoring system in your league and then rank your top 200 players accordingly.

Chad

I'd take Alexander over the other two....easier schedule. L.J. seems to be the obvious choice but Herm Edwards Chiefs are noVermiel and Saunder's Chiefs.
I'd take Rudi Johnson over Steven Jackson. I think that the Bengals line is improving, but the Rams line is declining.
Carson Palmer over those other QB's! What did he throw.....35 TD's last year? Culpepper is a Great QB, but he is going to a new system.....
Defenses are difficult to predict. Last year the Cinci Defense was a huge sleeper, but is Deltha O'Neil going to catch 10 Ints again this year?

Personally, I think this whole fantasy football thing is a hoax. If it was really fantasy football, then wouldn't it feature elves, dwarves and trolls?
