Out indefinetly?

Post by redskinsrule54 »

They are saying Portis is out indefinetly. I cant even spell it. Can anyone help me all i want to know is if Portis will be able to practice before the seasons starts and if this will hamper his abilities in the season opener and throughout the season.Somewhere i heard this will linger for a long time.

From what I just heard on the news, is that they are hoping Portis will be ready for the season opener, I am waiting to hear Gibbs press conference tonight what he will say, as he will be talking about all the injuries.

I'm not worried. I, for one, would be happy if Portis simply sat out each and every other preseason game.

I'm ok with this. I want him for the end of the year while Betts, Cartright, and Lumsden to run the ball. I say 3 games into the season. Thats ok with me. That should have CP only having to play 16 including the SB we win. Hahahahahaha

a guy on my high school rugby team had the same injury as portis and he played two weeks later, so I am assuming he should be back by opening day.

I think he could be back for week 1 but frankly I dont want him to play. He doesnt need to play until he is 100 no no 200 percent. Dont rush him. We need him for the strecth of the year more than the beginning. We can get by Minnesota at home with Betts and Rock. I hope we dont need to but I dont want Portis to have this as a recurring thing all year and possibly career. Give him as much time as he needs.
I miss you 21.

God I wish we had a second round pick.

Well don't count on Gibbs saying anyting too positive. Knowing good ole Joe he'll totally downplay the situation like, "Hopefully he'll be ready by week 1 or 2, but our goal is week 5"

I mean, you know how Joe always downplays the situation about schedules and stuff... I mean we could play the 49ers all 16 games and Joe would come out and say, "Well, we don't like our schedule this year, it's really tough."

I love Joe.

its funny you posted that after Joe's news conference. But he said Portis went to some specialist and its gonna be sore and when the soreness goes away he will rehab and probably be ready for the opener.

right on!! no need to screw up his sholder more.. get him healthy and when hes back hes back. we are a strong, deep team with a well rounded support staff... our O line is good (not the deepest though), our QB is solid and a vet, our wide outs are gggrrreeat and our O corr. is second to none. with our deep RBs(i mean we argue all the time about who is our better of two great back ups!) we will be fine till clinton gets back.. and when he is back we want him to be able to help our run in the playoffs
