The worst movie in history is coming out! (football related)

Post by Cappster »

It is a movie about the Philadelphia Iggles. I saw the preview over the weekend while I was waiting for pirates to start. I felt like throwing my soda at the screen. I just cannot believe out of all the professional sports teams, they choose the Iggles to make a movie about. I-G-G-L-E-S SUCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKK! I would rater take a swift kick in the N#%$ than to see this movie :lowblow: Any other opinions?

To the best of my knowledge, nobody is forced to watch movies, in fact you usually have to pay to see them.

Is it about the Eagles, the team, or a no-name player (who was actually a fan) that fought his ass off and made the team against all odds?

I'm probably gonna see it cuz I can appriciate the concept and I love that fan actually makes it. But hey, I can't stand the eagles, I don't care what it's about... it's still gonna be annoying hearing their stupid chant 4090990909 times during the movie.

Look, the movie is called "Invincible", the true story of Vince Papale, a fan who made the Eagles after open tryouts.

I'm gonna forget it's an EAGLES movie and focus on the fact that this is a "football fan's dream-come-true" movie.

I, for one, look forward to seeing it.

Wanna see a clip? Check it out here.

Come on folks, forget it's about the "Eagles", okay..and give it a shot. I bet you'll be pleasantly surprised and actually like the movie!

Can you imagine if the Redskins had open try outs and it was "you" actually trying out to make the team? What's not to love about that idea?!?!?!?!

It is a nice idea for a movie but I just really hate the eagles. I have known one to many overly obnoxious eagles fans and I feel like that would be giving them support. Until this past year all they would do is run their mouth about the redskins. I can't stand that horrible eagles chant and I definetly do not want to hear it 500 times during the movie. Even going to the last "spurrier" game against the eagles. I had to avoid getting in a couple of fights before I got to my seat because people I didn't know were running their mouth to me for wearing a Coles jersey. Not to mention the food that kept getting thrown in my direction when I was at my seat. I guess me disgust for the eagles and their fans overwhelm my will to see a "feel good story".

On a side note. I watched some of the nfl films documentary yesterday about how they filmed the fans during their superbowl. I loved seeing the disappointment on their face when they lost.

uhhhh... let me see if I can sum it up... E-A-G-L-E-S.... EAGLES!

What else matters?

I'd rather watch The Replacements for the 768th time than endure 5 minutes of an Eagles touchy-feely story.

In fact, I'd rather staple my own eyelids shut than put on that horrid green uniform.

The only thing I find startling about the movie is that they were actually able to find something touchy feely anywhere in the organization.

The irony of it all is that given the typical disposition of an Eagles fan... they won't like the movie either.

Now if at the end of the movie.... Rudy, Radio and The Waterboy came out and circle booted Vince Papale... now that'd be worth watching.

Didn't Disney already make a movie about the Giggles? My kids watched it on TV a few years ago, while I sat in the other room boycotting the movie. All I can remember is that according to the TV guide it had Tony Danza (kiss of death right there) in it.

I saw Giggles green... and I threw up, just a little bit, in my mouth. Thanks a lot, NC and BH. Like McDonald's doesn't taste bad enough the FIRST time it's on your tastebuds!

You deserve to get food thrown at u, u should have enough common sense to know that u don't go into a philly stadium wearing opposing team colors, it goes for the Flyers, and 76ers also.

Oh yeah, Their not being a fan of the home team makes it ok to throw food at someone, or verbally abuse them, even if they have small children with them. Blame the victim!

I didn't go to Philley. This was at FEDEX FIELD during the last game of the Spurrier era and the Eagles were going to the playoffs. It was actually a sad day in Redskins history because it seemed as though there was more green than red. Are you a liitle bit partial to the puke green? I would wear my Redskin Jersey into any stadium because I AM A DIE HARD REDSKINS FAN!

My sons & I wore 'Skins attire to the Rams game last yr & had no problems, even after we trounced them. I actually agree with jspb22. Doesn't happem often. There is NO EXCUSE for being physically abusive!
