Why NY? The biggest market in the world. Its a class organization. He was embraced. Things are being handled in the right direction.
How will he be received in DC? Has an intimate relationship. He still hangs around the DC area. They are loyal fans and will root for the Skins, he wouldnt have it any other way. Love, Love relationship. He'll be nervous. He thinks so highly of them.

Free-lancing - The superstars freelance time to time. If its done on a consistent basis it becomes a problem. Theres needs to be a balance. His success depends on whether or not he conforms and buys into the defense.
TO is the biggest aquisition.

I think he meant "Crutches." I had to read it twice to get past the Caruthers thing.

Say whatever you want, Lavar. I ain't buying no Big Blue jersey no matter whose name is on it.
Have a little respect for those of us grieving over your departure (not me!!) and leave us be. You made your call.

In addition to his new number, Lavar is also sporting a new facemask.
I hope it has some sort of physical advantage over traditional masks, because it is pretty ugly.

I think it looks pretty cool. I feel sorry for whomever gets their finger trapped in the loop.

Wow. That's even worse than the new helmets that the Colts seem to like.

Two things stick out to me in that article:
First:
Perhaps there's a little NYC bias in the "reporting".
They really need to get over this... Should LaVar end up being injury-prone, I hope they retract some of these earlier statements and give the SKins staff its proper due.
Second:
I'm glad to see that LaVar and Tricia have a healthy relationship. I could not imagine being a newlywed and a brand new father and only eiong able to see my spouse for 10 mins at a time. That stinks.
I'm glad to see he keeps his family #1.
More importantly, I'm glad he's doing that in New York, and not in Washington.
First:
The Giants are willing to gamble this will be very good, hopeful that the bash-LaVar negativity flowing freely out of Washington was the byproduct of a situation gone awry and not a player gone bad. The Redskins after six years had enough of Arrington, a huge talent they insist became a big headache. The Giants have a different vision...

Second:
"I mean, we're a team, he and I, we're one unit," Tricia said. "I'm here to support him in any way I can. I only get to see him maybe 10 minutes a day. Just being here and being able to be a part of it is good enough for me."
Tom Coughlin keeps the Giants occupied from sunup to sundown; free time is a rarity. One afternoon, LaVar - who sleeps in the dorms while his family stays in a nearby hotel - was able to skip off for a quick off-campus lunch with his personal fan club. More often, it's a brief exchange on the field and then it's back to work.
"It hits my reset button for me. When I see her and my baby and my brother-in-law, I'm able to reset," LaVar said. "It keeps me fresh over and over again."
