Time to Post some gems from the Texans official Message Board

Man **** this ****! I did not sit through a 2-14 season for this bull...

Why the hell do you tender a third round pick for Peek then spend 12.5 million in a signing bonus for Weaver just to go out and pass on the hometown hero and then the guy everyone says is the best player. WTF is that?

I am gonna be sick!

his has to be some sort of bad joke or nightmare. The Texans are on their way to being on the You Can't Blame shows on ESPN (i.e. You Can't Blame Portland for taking Sam Bowie). Nothing like having an opportunity to validate your franchise, and flushing it down the toilet. Nice work, McNair.

Well, our game with the Texans is going to be some what tougher now. I can't believe they didn't pick Bush, its a pretty big move!

I can understand not wanting Bush but why in the world didn't they trade down? They have 1000 holes and could have filled many of them.

Ah, I was thinking just the opposite. I could have seen Bush breaking 2 or 3 long runs on us and maybe even turning a dump off into a 50 yard TD.

As far as Williams goes, DL ALWAYS struggle their first year!

Now lets hope someone else that we play doesn't draft Bush.

To be honest I dont think Bush is going to be all that. The season is a heck of a lot longer, how good will his O-line be and he will be playing against the best of the best. The gaps in ability at the college level are huge but in the NFL he's not playing against someone who will be a loan officer in 3 years.

Im not worried about Bush, Im not worried about anyone really.

I think that 15 minutes between 1st and 2nd could be interesting.

ROTFALMAO

Oh my god! The Houston Texans are officially the DUMBEST franchise in pro sports!! ROTFALMAO

I can not believe they just did that!

I mean, sure Mario Williams is a heck of a player, but the NFL is a buisness, and Reggie Bush (even Vince Young) sell tickets, not a D-Lineman.

The Texans are soooo far away from being a bad team, that not only should they have picked Bush so they could get some ESPN Top 10s, but so they couls sell some Tickets!

I can't wait 10 years from now when we look back at this draft, and just laugh at the Texans.

They will start selling tickets when they start winning.

I'd rather my team put people in the seats that way then by taking the "sexy" pick that they don't need.

I think it's a good pick but they could of traded their #1 pick and still picked Williams later, that was the retarted move.

On the other hand, they add a big physical DE that will get after the QB. This will help the entire D. Besides they have Andre Johnson, Eric Moulds, Davis at RB, Jeb Putzier & Carr. Kubiak has never needed a 1st round RB to have an effective running game. I'm just not one to belive Bush can walk on water with out seeing it first. He could be the next great one or he could be the next desmond howard.

While Williams is a stud, and freakish DE's are definatly a rare commodity, Reggie Bush is a special player that you cant pass on, IMO. You cant pass up a Barry Sanders/Ladainian Tomlinson type player. I could be dead wrong, and im obviously not a pro scout, but the things i have personally watched Reggie do, is just ridiculous! I mean his moves are just stupid (in a good way). From what I've heard from different scout/sports sites, people believe that Bush is the most freakishly silly player they have seen in 20 years. And from what ive seen, i cant argue. Time will definatly tell though.

Exactly.

Don't the Jets have the #4 pick? They could have traded with them and got a heck of a lot more picks to fill all the holes they have.

This is by far the dumbest move ever.

They wanted Williams and there was a good chance the Saints would take him.
Houston could not trade down and still get their guy.
And how do we know they didn't try to trade?
There were also rumors that Bush wanted a ridiculous amount of money.

The Saints will probably take Bush now or trade picks with the Jets.
Maybe all this was Bush's plan to not play for a crappy franchise.
But then again, if he is drafted by the Jets, his chances of sucking double.

Because they shopped the first pick and nobody offered something valuable in return.

cvillehog wrote:You think the Saints will pass on Bush?
They might. They will be having a lot of fun receiving offers for this pick. I would trade this pick if the offer is another 1st -plus- a 2nd round picks.

Take a runner and that sells tickets? What about the overall records of teams that got:

- Randy White

- Lawrence Taylor
