I'm the newest Miami Hurricane!

Post by P-Nasty »

I dont know if any of yall remember me from earlier this year but I was robert mccune's cousin and tiger jones's brother.. i was on here a while back so people might not remember me..

Some people were intrested in my football career, back when i was a QB i think.. well i ended up movin to WR and CB and Im proud to say I'm the #1 player in Alabama and the University of Miami's latest committment!

I hope yall dont think i'm braggin because I know some people thought i was when i was talkin about football before.. Im just really excited and remembered yall and thought i'd share the good news.

Wow, if you are who you say you are then that's pretty impressive. Good luck...but try to take a play or two off for our Terps!

Evaluation: This is an elite overall athlete with impact potential not only on defense as a versatile cornerback/safety prospect, but as an exploisve offensive running back/receiving threat. He possesses rare overall athleticism. Reminds us a little of last years Byron Maxwell, now at Clemson only Jones is more versatile. He is an excellent turn and run corner for his size, has little wasted motion in his hips, and is smooth in all of his movements. He gets excellent position on the ball, does a nice job of tracking it in the air, and always seems to be in position with the receiver to go up and make a play. He is an excellent leaper, will go up and take the ball away from a lot of receivers and as a result is a nice match-up versus bigger receivers in the red area. He shows good overall deep speed, has good athleticism, and is fluid. He does an excellent job of planting and driving on the ball, and he is a very feisty and competitive guy. He is a very willing and active tackler, and is at his best when he can attack the ball carrier with a low tackle. He appears to play with confidence, and he has that cockiness that the good ones have. He also has good hands, and is very natural at catching the football. Could be a scary wide receiver- legit two-way threat. As feisty and competitive as he is vs. the run, he is an inconsistent tackler. As good as his man to man skills are, we are not sure he has exploisve speed to make up if out of position and premier, smaller receivers could get some separation from him. His ball skills and reaction time allow him to get to a lot of plays and he shows good instincts and anticipation for the ball. Depending on how physical he becomes with maturity, he could be a stand-out safety prospect with great cover skills. Overall, complete athletes like Jones don't come around often.

That's awesome man.
You just raised your chances of becoming a Washington Redskin by going to Miami

Do you have any good info on how McCune is doing?
Do you think he can start at WLB?

Just asking :)

Hey wuz up Phelon.

Man That's great you playing at My favorite school The U.

Are you going to be running track in Miami too?

Man the skins will be looking for a corner soon, so maybe we can work something out in 3-4 years.

SO what position are you going to play at the U?

I heared that former UM stars talk to the recruits. Did you talk to anybody from the NFL.

Well alright Phelon, Good Luck in the Future at Miami and stay healthy.

I think Hammer has the skills to be a Will.. he def. has the speed and coverage skills.. he's a hard worker so i think he could be one of the guys battling for the weak side spot next season.. he's a much older guy so he'll want to make up time lost.. we'll see

Yeah Im doin track at miami for sure.. long jump and triple jump.. i'm the state champ in the long jump and i'm #1 in the nation in triple jump so Im excited about that..

I didnt talk to anybody from the NFL during the recruiting.. it was all real quick, they sent me that offer I was lookin for, I visited and then committed..

I think I can play everywhere in college.. i could be miami's new Devin Hester at WR, CB, returns and even QB on some plays if they need me.. mostly CB and WR tho..

What happened to NC State. Did they even recruit you? I'm just courious because if you are all the various websites say you are I want to make sure my guys are doing what they should in going after talented players.

I actually do remember your old post and you talking about playing. I certainly didn't think that you were that accomplished! Hey, good luck. I respect that you root for the Saints but when it comes time to play for an NFL team think Burgundy!

Congrats, Phelon.

Are you going to redshirt your first year?

Also, I saw Montrell play for Lousiville in 2005. Did he not sign an agent when he signed with the Redskins and was academically eligable?

Again, congrats and good luck! (Except against my Terps.) ;-)
