Bonds on Bonds

Did anyone see this show the other day??? I am curious what you thoughts are on his show. Good PR move? Bad PR Move?

Is ESPN wrong for airing the show and paying Bonds?

not a bad PR move, though its hard to have good pr if youre barry bonds.

i guess its good to get his side of the story out, though his side sounded a lot like everyone elses side!

also, did you hear him get pissed that TO was the number one most hated athlete??

Yeah, he's competitive...he even wants to win "Most Hated"...I am not Bonds fan, but I think that it was good to let people see some of the hate mail he gets...and hear him tell his story about always comparing himself to his father, Willie Mays and Hank Aaron. Those are big shoes to fill and it shows how that kind of pressure can lead you to cheat if other people like McQuire and Sosa are doing it among others.

I don't think that Bonds is a great guy and I don't even like baseball that much, but I did like to see him open up a little bit...maybe people can see that he's a human and cut him some slack just like people did for Giambi, Palmeiro, Canseco, McQuire, Sosa and a host of other players.
