Trades for the Soul
Brunell and a 3rd draft choice to the Jets for Ramsey
All draft picks for a 1st round pick low enough to draft Young.
Patton and Betts for the best available pass catching TE or draft pick low enough to acquire pc TE. Taylor could be ba throw in.
Molinaro and Rock to replace Molinaro.
Thrash, Brown, maybe White, for Alstot or Bettis.

You are joking right?
Well, I thought it was pretty funny. These were personal "feel good" trades for the soul.
It would give me the warm fuzzies for the next year or so for the skins to be desperately trying to get Patrick back.
I love Vince Young. And would love to see my tormentors' favorite folk traded in mass to acquire a guy who's great but doesn't know how to throw.
I would love to see Alstot and/or Bettis crush guys for us instead of crushing us for a change. I'd give them contracts for about 30 carries a year. I'd be willing to fly Bettis in from his announcer's job.
I can't stand watching Molinaro fail to improve another season and the Rock keeps my man Nemo out of the lineup.
I've totally given up on the other guys and don't want the coaches tempted to stick them in at important spots.
Like I said, Trades for the Soul.

Listen, I was a big Patrick supporter back in the day but I can't, for the life of me, understand why you want him back?!?!?!
In the years he's played here, the kid just didn't improve at all. I doubt he will have a solid future in the NFL, to be honest with you. If he is a "dud", I'd rather him be a "dud" for another team and not the Redskins.
I'm focusing on Jason Campbell right now.

I hope you're right about Campbell, JH. I don't see why you're so confident. Gibbs makes mistakes like other men, even great ones. To me, he's taking two long shots at the same time here, hoping one will hit. I hope one hits, too, and I can eat crow on this; but it's a gamble I'm not willing to take.
I know that Patrick can put up 200 plus yds a game all year long. I can't say the same thing about the other two.

When will you realize that Ramsey is no good, and Campbell is our future?!? icon_rolleyes.gif
I'm not so sure that Ramsey is "no good" as you put it. I think things just didn't work out well for him here but I think that with a fresh start with the Jets he could turn into a solid NFL qb. And it's a little too early to be calling Campbell our "future". The kid hasn't taken a single snap in a regular season game so we have no idea what he's going to do when he actually gets to play. Could be the next Theismann or the next Shuler.

While I hesitate to put all of my eggs in the "Campbell basket", so to speak, I still think the kid has a lot of potential and I would really like to see the "Campbell era" start sooner rather than later. I actually wouldn't mind seeing him start this year, at the risk of finishing 8-8 or worse, just so we can see what the future holds for us.

Ramsey has not shown ANYTHING in the NFL yet, and while know one knows for sure if Campbell will be a stud or a dud, for now he IS our future!
Taylor and Landry will take no Prisoners!! - I just can't bring myself to delete it!

I liked Ramsey too but Gibbs dispises turnovers and Ramsey was good for 1, sometimes 2 INTs a game. Gibbs believes in ball control, field position, etc...not gunning the ball around the field and taking chances.
I'd like to see us trade for a 3rd CB, young TE, or a tall WR for the redzone.
Some possibilities:
Michael Lehan
Position: DB
Height: 6-0
Weight: 190
Born: 11/25/1979
College: Minnesota
NFL Experience: 3
Plays for the Browns. Crennel loves offense - how about we trade Patten for this guy? They already have Joe J, Northcutt and Edwards but another offensive weapon would be good for the Browns. Plus a good guy in the locker room and someone Crennel knew in NE.
OR
Ben Hartsock
Position: TE
Height: 6-4
Weight: 255
Born: 07/05/1980
College: Ohio State
NFL Experience: 3
A good blocker, smart player, stuck behind a great group of TE's in Indy, one of the best group of TEs on any team. We could get this guy for a 4th round pick next year probably.
OR
Bryant Johnson
Position: WR
Height: 6-3
Weight: 214
Born: 03/07/1981
College: Penn State
NFL Experience: 4
Stuck behind Fitz and Bolden...Patten for him straight up. We get the big WR, they get the fast little guy...
OR
Doug Gabriel
Position: WR
Height: 6-2
Weight: 215
Born: 08/27/1980
College: Central Florida
NFL Experience: 4
This guy is a player...Stuck behind Moss and Porter. Shell would love a guy in the locker room that isn't a nut, give them Patten and a 3rd round pick.
OR -- this one will confirm, I'm nuts!
Marshall Faulk
Position: RB
Height: 5-10
Weight: 211
Born: 02/26/1973
College: San Diego State
NFL Experience: 13
Trade Ladell Betts OR a 2007 3rd round pick for him. Ladell's contract is up after 2006 anyway...I don't see us giving him lots of cash as our Backup, unless he proves he can run back kickoffs really well.
Can you imagine having Faulk replace Clinton every 3rd series?
