Going to Dallas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

no no, not for a game, for a competition. I am the President of my school's DECA club (its a marketing club for students enrolled in marketing classes) and I just got back today in fact from Norfolk for our State Leadership Conference.

At this conference, competitors take a test on friday (100 questions, 60 minutes), that determines two-thirds of their score. On saturday, we do our role plays with judges, acting as whoever it is we represent in our category. For example, in my category, Financial Analysis Team Decision Making, my partner and I were two loan officers trying to help a guy out with getting a loan.

My partner and I got 2nd overall in the state on our tests (they combine partner scores) and 4th overall factoring in competition. we had 6 first place overall winners, and 14 people from our school going to the national competition in Dallas.

Since we have to dress in business casualish stuff on the plane, I'll be rocking my Redskins polo shirt and khakis, just for fun

When I was in school, they had a Dungeons & Dragons club, but they never went anywhere.

When I was in DECA 32 years ago...we only got to go to NY...but it was a fun trip. Have fun !
