In a sick and twisted way I think I'm going to have a lot of fun watching all of this unfold. I still happen to believe that the Skins will be OK in general, and it will be kinda fun to see what stars are hitting the market.
What I wouldn't give to have a fumble-problem and injury free Stephen Davis in his prime here in Washington. Wishes. . .

I know this guy named Jimmy, he has a pet....POSTERNUTBAG! Thats his cats name, POSTERNUTBAG!!!
This is going to be a very interesting off season if there is no agreement.
The players and the fans will suffer the most.
If the players think they will be able to force the owners into any sort of scenario that is not making these guys a lot of money then everyone is in for a dose of harsh reality. This scenario is going to be allowed to happen by the owners because they think that they are bigger than the players and the players better be very careful about how greedy they are trying to be.
I really am surprised that this got down to the last day. Not a pretty picture!

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I saw this sign posted once, it said, 'blasting zone ahead'. Wow... shouldn't that read: 'Road Closed'? - Brian Regan

Safety Lawyer Milloy and tight end Mark Campbell also were released in moves that saved the Bills an estimated $9.1 million in salary cap space. The team has not determined whether to release veteran receiver Eric Moulds, who rejected the Bills' offer to restructure his contract earlier this week.

There is going to be a lot of trash thrown around, and a very large portion will be directed at the owners. However, the fact that the owners voted unanimously to reject the NFLPA's offer tells me that the NFLPA wasn't willing enough to compromise either.
Only a few cuts so far, but I bet the team's offices are buzzing today.

I just don't understand how every year the Titans are so far over the cap. Especially since every year they cut loads of guys and purge their talent. Their team is terrible and they have no good players and yet they're still $15 mil over. I don't understand how everyone trashes the 'Skins for the way they handle the cap when they have never ACTUALLY BEEN IN CAP HELL until this year when they only got put into a bad situation because of the nonrenewal of the CBA but nobody talks about how incompetent the Titans front office is.

Wow our list of casualities doesn't look half as bad as I thought it would. If Noble is cut can we hire him to coach? Raymer and Hall might hurt without replacements but hopefully sometimes soon the parties involved in these talks will stop acting like 3 years olds and this issue will actually be resolved.

My favortie line from the Simpsons:

Homer: "No Flanders, it's a meeting of gay witches for abortion , you wouldn't be interested!"

right on nikiH they are all greedy and acting like 3 yr olds.
i,m with you if they would come to their senses and meet in the middle and get this resolved asap but from this morning they said it will get done it,s just a matter of when it will get done, say like next year.
it needs to be resolved i agree but we are better off than what some have said in the media.

This Ownership Has The Quarantine Virus..
The owners seem to be saying we can take everything but we are not in agreement with ourselves first about how we (the owners) will split up the revenue AND we are not going to increase the cap from 56.2 to 60.3 (or whatever).
The first thing that happens now is that the initial increase of the cap to $115mill (from $95mill) which is now NOT going to happen - means that the players just "lost" $10mill per team in salaries that they would have made this year if they had kept the current agreement!!
The players it seems to me are hoping for something to happen down the road rather than take the sure thing and keep everybody on the same page as it has been. This could be a big mistake.

This whole situation reminds me of when hockey returned. Teams had to adjust to a salary cap and big name players relocated all over the league.
