Back in the day we had a pretty heated discussion about whether shooting a child that is pointing a gun at you is an appropriate thing to do. That discussion also focused, if I remember correctly, on whether such a young person can really have a criminal intent.
Well, I'm just gonna throw out an article in today's local paper which discusses an 8-year-old boy (that's right...8 years old) being suspected of rape. Wow.
Seaford Boy, 8, suspected (and likely soon to be arrested) in rape of girl, 10, to turn himself into police
This is really very disheartening to think that such a young kid/child can do this.

im not really sure that's the whole story...i think that 16-year old played a huge role in it and the 8 year old was just doing it because the 16-year old told him to or whatever...
Sean, may you always rest in peace and look down on us with the same love that we look up to you.

I wouldn't be surprised by that at all; however, to think that an 8-year can play any role in a sex crime case, to me, just kinda boggles the mind, ya know?

Although this is surreal, there must be more to the story.. There's no way an eight year old desires to commit such a crime. I would even go as far to say that erectile dysfunction would not have enabled this crime to occur.

I don't know the story but I wouldn't be entirely surprised if the 8-year-old boy (now 9) was also a victim of the 16 year old. Perhaps the 16 year old placed the 8-9 year old under duress, making him do what he did to the girl. Who knows.
