Chad Johnson fights Coach during Halftime
I was reading on another site that Chad Johnson got into a fight with the Bengals WR coach at halftime. Then when Lewis came in to break it up, he took a swing at him. Finally I guess TJ came in and helped break it up. The guy could be the next TO.....Man the Bengals team really melted down in 1 game.......

Here is the story from profootballtalk.com
CHAD TOOK SWING AT MARVIN
A league source tells us that multiple members of the Cincinnati Bengals witnessed a troubling incident as the team prepared to take the field for the second half of Sunday's playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Per the source, the last few minutes of intermission were ticking away, when the players were startled by the sight and sound of a helmet slamming against the glass pane of the training room door. Inside, receiver Chad Johnson and receivers coach Hue Jackson were engaged in an altercation. At one point, Johnson was seen holding Jackson in a headlock.
Coach Marvin Lewis entered the training room to intervene, and Johnson (per the source) took a swing at him.
Eventually, receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh broke up the skirmish, within a minute or so of the team exiting the locker room for the second half.
On Monday, several members of the team pointed to the Johnson-Jackson-Lewis incident as the catalyst for the loss of a 17-14 halftime lead and, ultimately, a 31-17 defeat.
Word is that Johnson was unhappy with the lack of balls thrown to him in the first half. A total of three passes came his way, with two completions.
In the second half, another three passes were thrown to Johnson, with only two more completions. For the game, Johnson had four catches for 59 yards.
The incident could have an even more lasting impact on the team than quarterback Carson Palmer's torn ACL and MCL. Some players, we're told, don't want to see Johnson back next year, and there's a belief that the team will be less inclined to give in to Johnson's request for a hefty restructuring of a contract that expires after the 2009 season.
So the Chad Johnson saga very well could evolve into the 2006 version of the Terrell Owens fiasco.
If so, it's very bad news for a franchise that otherwise looked to have a very bright future.

Are we talking about the same Chad Johnson?
Just because this hasn't happened before doesn't mean the writing wasn't on the wall. Any athlete that consistently seeks out notoriety like Chad does has it in them don't they?
After all, they somehow manage to care about only themselves in a very team-oriented sport.
Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.
I knew something like this was in him all-along but ijust didn't think it would get this bad. I think he knew that with Palmer in the game the Bengals might have won against the Steelers, so when he left I guess he figured the team would use him more so he could use his gifts and when he only got 3 passes his way in the first half he got upset. I never thought it would get this bad, but i guess i should have seen it coming.

Didn't Hue Jackson get in a shouting match that almost came to blows here? I'm trying to remember who it was. I keep thinking Albert Connell, but I don't think they were here at the same time.
Better do a little research.
On a side note, I bet Hue would have taken him.

How it really went down..
"Pass me the ball coach! I want the ball! Can we talk about that?"
"I ain't talking about that crap! I'm talking about something important. Like discipline and duty and honour and courage. And you ain't got none of it!"
"...Maybe you'd.. like to.. take a swing at me?"
"I'd like to take a BIG swing at you, coach."
"Well, go ahead and give it your best shot.
"I'll take my HAT off."
"There we are, Johnson. Ain't no more coach. It's just you and me, kid, man-to-man. So go ahead, give it your best shot. Swing at me.... Gutless. Punk."

Clinton Portis onsistently seeks out notoriety doesn't he?
I thought Chad's talk was all in fun, much like Clint... but who knows... this could just be BS

No Clinton does a scheduled weekly interview. It doesn't mean that every time there's a camera near that he turns into a glory hog... nor does he spend the whole time just talking about himself... unless it's in jest.
Actually, whenever Clinton does a serious interview, he does everything he can to defelect attention AWAY from himself and pass the accolades on to his teammates... just like his coach does and inspires all to do.
There's a big difference between toying with and manipulating the media for fun, and self-promoting until your own team has aspersions.
Anyone who thinks that CP is about himself and not the team just isn't paying very close attention.

I see the difference now, CP does seem to be mocking the Chad Johnson type, rather than emulating them, haha.

Wild Card round loss, Red. You didn't even get close enough to smell HB-I.
Sorry, that's what I meant. He singlehandedly cost me a first-round win. Again, way to be a team player, CHAD!!!

Back and better than ever!

I heard Boomer Esiason on Rome today and he said he heard about it and hour after the game ended. I see on the Bengals website they go on how Chad needs to control his emotions. The damge control spin is on..... His trade value couldn't be any higher than now. Will be interesting if they do shop him around.....
