McNabb needs help

I hate to be an advocate for another NFC East team but, espeically after watching the NFC title game, when are the geniuses running the Eagles going to realize that they must get McNabb a top-flight reciever? If I'm not mistaken, they have a ton of salary cap space. I'd throw it all at TO.

I'm confused how people criticize McNabb so much considering he is not a pocket passer and teams would not be able to win a super bowl with one. Yet, Rothlisberger just one a super bowl and I would not consider him a pocket passer either. I wouldn't mind if McNabb won since he is a nice guy but I can't stand eagle fans so I guess I can live without his team being good.

There is a big difference between Mcnabb and Rothlisberger.

Mcnabb drives a SUV and Ben ride a motorcycle. When Ben parks in a handicap spot the disabled may still have room to park. If not Ben can wiggle out of it by saying someone else was riding the bike

"The Philadelphia Eagles have informed the Green Bay Packers that they're interested in disgruntled wideout Javon Walker. Walker who had a great year in 2004 for the Packers when he caught passes for over 1300 yards and scored 12 touchdowns, let the Packer organization know that he doesn't want to play for them any longer because of the problems he's run into in pursuit of a lucrative long-term contract. The atmosphere is so bitter that the former Florida State Seminole has moved out of Green Bay to emphasize the fact that he doesn't want to put on the Packer uniform again. There are about six teams including the Eagles who are interested in acquiring the explosive young receiver who is supposed to back at full speed after an ACL tear a year ago. Walker missed nearly all of last season due to the knee injury. During the off season before last year's campaign, Walker who at the time, had the same agent as Terrell Owens, Drew Rosenhaus, was embroiled in a contract squabble with the Packers. You might remember that Brett Favre came out publicly against Walker during the same time that Terrell Owens was involved in a similar dispute with the Eagles.

What's important to note is that the Eagles have not only expressed interest in trading for Walker but they're also interested in signing him to a long term deal prior to making a trade. The Packers have let it be known around the league that they want to trade Walker and don't plan on starting out the year with him on the roster. Also the fact that Eagles Head Coach Andy Reid has close ties to the Packers could come in handy in acquiring the services of Walker. The Birds have three picks in the 4th round and probably would be willing to part with one of them for the formidable wideout.

The acquisition of Walker would ease the pressure on the Birds to get ahold of another playmaker to replace the departed Terrell Owens. The Eagles management has been under criticism for not being aggressive during this year's free agency period. They did pick up wideout Jabar Gaffney but he's look on as more of 3rd receiver and at best a solid number two. The Eagles don't have a number one receiver and it could mean a long year for Donovan McNabb and his offense. It's going to come down to how much the Eagles are willing to give up to bring Walker into the fold."

If the Eagles could actually talk GB into giving up Walker for a 4th rounder, they'd be fools not to do it. They need a good WR desperately, and Walker's a strong #1. The only question mark is his knee injury, and they can get a doctor to look at that prior to any deal.

On a more serious note, why in the hell do the Eagles rseerve all that cap space every year (something they are constantly lauded for) if they NEVER use it?

More than likely waiting for the next high priced waste of money to become available eg.TO or who says they want to win the Superbowl, ownership maybe just wants to string fans along for the least amount of money spent equals more profit. Im a big NHL fan and in years past look at the Boston Bruins. Don't spend alot make the playoffs almost every year they make huge money with all the playoff revenue.

In fairness to the Iggles organization, other than last year, their frugality had been paying off quite handsomely.

I respect them for getting the most out of the crop of players they have.

Up until we became a legitimate threat again (last season), the Iggles were downright scary to play against.
