Hognostications Announcement

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Hognostications Announcement

Post by admin »

While not participating, I have been following the Hognostications and had a coupple of things to say:

1) thanks to Texas Hog for writing the article every week. We hoped it would be more of an article and board participation thing for you guys and obviously some of you are enjoying yourselves.

2) I wanted to thank RiC too for tracking it and sustaining it all for you throughout the season. Nice contribution, thanks. =D>

3) Lastly, I thought it would be nice to up the ante a little on first prize. So how about we throw in a THN t-shirt as well? Not just any t-shirt though... how about I'll come up with a nice graphic for the back of the t-shirt that we'll add to make it a one-of-a-kind.

We'll make it 'Top Hog' or something silly like that.

The winner will get a special avatar too if he so desires... denoting that they are in fact, the Top Hognosticator.

And the winner will strictly be defined as the person with the most wins registered over the course of the season... guys who missed weeks or games etc... better make 'em up. :-)

No silly percentages, or but ifs... the person with the most Ws on the season gets the prize.

Sound good?

 Where was this announcement three weeks ago, before I pinned my hopes on a Cardinals upset??? #-o

Sounds like a sweet prize, and it certainly provides an incentive to make picks wisely.

So much for my blind picks. I'll take my t-shirt in an XL, and hopefully, this time, I can get Brunell in my avatar.

To my fellow Hognosticators, prepare to "suck my wake" (anyone know what movie I got that line from?).

Sweet, too bad I haven't been following along with Hognostications...

But Boss, I need to PM about the shirts (I'm hoping Santa will bring me one for Christmas )

Sounds great!

Our crowd has grown steadily over the last few weeks. Since the ultimate prize offered at the beginning of the first thread was BRAGGING RIGHTS, a shirt with that type of recognition would be GREAT!

Thank you very much.

Nobody said anything about re-designing avatars... there's just no pleasing some people. I said whoever wins will get something that reflects that in their avatar.

But I'm sure NC appreciated the little jab and I'm sure he'll leap to help you if he ever has the opportunity to again. You being so obviously appreciative and all.

If you want Brunell in an avatar, I'd suggest you find yourself a graphic designer... because I know for a fact that you ain't getting one from THN.

And one last note on the contest, Texas hog has informed me that there have been people who may have CHANGED their posts etc and so, I am going to leave it up to TH to decide who is the overall winner when all is said and done.

You mean, other than the special avatar I'm gonna get as the winner of the Hognostications competition, right?

Note to RiC: Isn't this what I posted about a few weeks ago? Funny how now it becomes a serious issue.

Oh well, my "Picks of Integrity" (aka "Picks of Redemption") should yield no protest when I'm crowned the winner. :celebrate:

Again, prepare to suck my wake, y'all.

Hehe! I get to decide!

For the record, I'll rely on RIC to continue with his much appreciated record keeping. I'm pretty sure he can't be bought. Unless of course someone wants to buy him a couple of THN shirts

Thanks Taz :D

You wouldn't believe the miracle that a Special one-of-a-kind THN shirt would make to buy my "influence" to keep records straight and uncorrupted considering the current standings. 8)

I do not believe that there is ANY problem with anybody changing posts with predictions DURING or AFTER games. The record is contained in the long thread itself. It is available to be investigated and scrutinised by anybody if someone wishes to confirm these findings.

The main goal has been to encourage participation taking into consideration all factors. A Poll was taken to agree on the Rules for the deadline of submission of Hognostications. We went by the result of it.

What about something like this for the back of the shirt?

Image

I may have to dumb down the gold medal a little for print, and it'll probably just get ironed on to the back of an already printed THN shirt, but will that sufficeth for the gold medal?
