The chargers on the horizon.
With the chargers on the horizon should prove to be a tough test. But did notice that the skins seem to step it up against good competition just those pesky turnovers. If we can just hold on to the ball I believe we just might take these chargers hopefully Gates is out on this game too. I dont wish misfortune on anyone just hope is out for the skins game. Just need to stick with the run and grind it out. All though Portis fumbled twice we still had a pretty good game on the ground. It dosent look good but this is when our team needs us the most. Lets cheer our brains out. Hail to the redskins. "We will not go quietly into the night"

From the Chargers' website:
X-rays of Gates’ foot came back negative and an MRI showed nothing significant. An upbeat Gates was in a protective boot as he addressed the media Monday. There’s a chance San Diego’s leading receiver will be able to play Sunday when the Bolts travel to the Nation’s Capitol to face the Washington Redskins.
“My foot feels a lot better,” Gates said. “It’s just day by day. I’m preparing to play this week.”

Hopefully he will be out. That team struggles without him.
We also not only need to focus on the obvious LT and shut him down, but Keenan McCardell is having a good year too.
I just have a bad feeling when Chris Simms and Kerry Collins both have good games against our defense. What kind of game can we expect from Drew Brees. I say he throws at least 3 TD's.
If not Tomlinson has 2 TD's and throws for one. Its going to be a long week.
There is a positive though. The Chargers have been having trouble winning close games. If we can keep this game close, (like we have 90% of the time this year), I think we can pull this one out.

as much as it sickens me to say so, almost every team loses at least one game they really shouldn't lose every year. maybe that was our game yesterday. the problem is, with a schedule as tough as ours, you simply can't afford to lose ANY of those games against weaker opponents.
this week is the playoffs for us. if we lose, we'd have to win out, 5 games in a row, to even have a slight chance at the playoffs. if we can win, not only do we stay afloat, but we make a statement that we DON'T stink, that we CAN beat good teams, and that losing to the raiders didn't mean anything.

We need to get to Brees and contain LT.
He's just as dangerous a receiver as he is a running back.
Jordan in the flats killed us yesterday. We better be prepared.

Skinz is right - They gotta win or it will get really ugly.
If they end up 8-8 or 7-9, where do they go from there? I cant take anymore rebuilding.
I hate to use those cliche's but this team has to learn how to win.
Just beat Dallas - they are A-H****

Worry not, we will beat the Chargers. I really had a bad feeling about both the Bucs and the Raiders games, but somehow I think we'll pull this next one out. Our backs are against the wall and we're at home. It's a good formula for any decent team that still has playoff hopes.
