Welcome to the board Tlatoani!
However, once we are done with your Chiefs this week, they will be called Tamemes!
Enjoy our forum.
PS for others: Tlatoani means boss in Nahuatl the language of the ancient Aztecs. Tameme means servant in the same language.

Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

Wow, you have amazed me, nobody have known what my name means, but I have to clear you something, after this week we are still going to be the KC Tlatoanis, the skins are a tough team but...still they gonna leave arrowhead 3-2 record wise.

THAT is the difference between this board and others. There are knowledgeable fans here, and a bit of Nahuatl is only one among many other things that you will find here. We can speak about football, and speak on an informed basis about it, in several languages. In fact you could have used a bit of Maya, which means that you are from Central Mexico.
So:
¿Qué tanto sabes de los Pieles Rojas de Washington y Joe Gibbs?

A few posters in this board read and write Spanish. Do you prefer French with a Québec accent?

Some of the guys here speak and write in German too. I do not. My Tagalog used to be understandable but it has gone down the drain without much practice for a few years.

Let us stick to Post-Elisabethean English in this board!

I know a few things about the pieles rojas, its a popular team in Mexico, and yes I'm from the great Mexico Tenochtitlan, (mexico City).
I like the skins, since I cheer for them against the cowgirls (the most popular team in Mexico), I know Gibbs is already a HOFer, He has won a SB title with three different starting QB's, I think snyder is not a great owner and many more things. I played football for about 20 years, so I can talk legnthly about this great sport, I have followed the NFL since i can remember, one of the best teams were the skins back in the 80's, so know a few players: riggins, the smurfs, art monk, the hogs and on and on.

Chilango then. Great city, fantastic food and some great looking gals (ki-ich-pan in Maya). Halifax is a twin city of Campeche in case you did not know. You hosted the NFL game with the largest number of attendants in the history of the NFL a week ago. Good for you guys!

You are just a misguided Skins fan looking for greener pastures elsewhere while the times were tough after Joe Gibbs left eh?

20 years is a long time to play even in Canada and The States. Who did you play for?
As I said, you were in love with the Skins but fell to the Dark Side while Marty was there. You are missing the greatest come back in the history of the NFL!
Come back to us and The Force will be with you.

Are you mexicano??? or you are pretty familiar with some terms, I mean, its hard for me to understand why you know quite a few things about us, yes I am chilango.
I was at the cards niners game last week, I didnt enjoy it because the chiefs wasted a victory against the beagles (i hate them too, my cousin give me a pretty hard time that day, he's a eagles fan, the good thing is that he lives in Tepic, sabes donde esta???)
I've always been a chiefs fan since the 80's Delaney, Blackledge, mackovic, art still, etc. Not very good teams then. But I'm such a fan of the NFL and try to catch up every other game since my childhood, that is why I know somethings about the skins and the rest of the league.
Bach in my playing days I played for a number of teams and almost played with the redskins (yes, there is a team called in honor of your team, but maybe you already know it), but my "mayor" (like college) I played my 5 years for the Leones de la Universidad Anahuac del Sur (if you know them, I have to give some more props to you).

I travel extensively. I know a few cultures and countries around the world, some better than others of course. I can speak English, French and Spanish with different accents each. I understand and read other languages to a lesser degree. The story about Tagalog was true. Someday you will be surprised about the close link between the cultures of the Philippines and Mexico. Fruits, plants, music, clothing and architecture, and many other items were the subject of exchanges for centuries while the Philippines was governed from the Vice-Royalty of New Spain.

Never visited Tepic. I have stayed at Las Hadas resort in Manzanillo somewhat nearby. Great holiday. Great oysters too. Even better company ...

Bad timing.Tlatoani wrote: I've always been a chiefs fan since the 80's Delaney, Blackledge, mackovic, art still, etc. Not very good teams then.
So you never watched the Hank Stram, Otis Taylor and Podolak Chiefs? You never saw the best performance of an NFL running back (350 combined yards) on the losing side of a playoff game? THAT was a great Chiefs team. In fact, that double over-time loss on December 1971 - the longest game in the history of the NFL - against Miami was a downturn for the worse for the Chiefs for over a decade.
You missed the best game in the history of your franchise, Chiefs fan.

Sorry. My knowledge of Mexican teams is not good.
I know that we have at least two Redskin posters here who may know your team: El Mexican and The RAM.

Do not worry, nobody is perfect. We all have limitations, some (Chiefs fans) more than others (Redskins fans) though.
