Three Cheers for the Redskins!!!

Post by Cooley4MVP »

I dont know if anyone has seem this documentary from NFL films, which follows the 1971 season......but it is very entertaining....It is on NFL network....I was not alive in the George Allen era but he seemed like a funny crazy guy and his players seemed to respect him.

Yeah I have seen that before when they have aired it and it is really a great piece. NFL FILMS is just amazing. For anyone who has seen it, it showed how George Allen used to label the types of trees at redskins park. My question is, does anyone know if the trees are still labeled today? I have been to camp before but I have never looked.

All I know is if that Allen would have actually challenged Landry the way he SAID he would, Landry would have mopped the blue star at midfield with him.

We certaily know that is not the case with the current coaches. All Gibbs would have to do is give the fat Tuna the old rope-a-dope, and then, when he was gasping for air like, a Tuna out of water, he would come in and finish him off.

Gibbs isn't strong enough. All Tuna'd need to do is sit on him.

Tom Landry: Mom, mom, George Allen is calling me for a fight! What should I do?

Landry's Mom: Tommy, that is not nice. You know better than that.

Tom Landry: OK Mom, I will challenge his safety for a run race...

Landry's mom: Good boy, good boy.
