You'll both be happy to know that after breaking up with the 25 yo girl a few weeks ago, I recently started dating a 34 yo gal who, at first blush, seems perfect for me. Great personality, no children, very cute...and we're clicking on all cylinders right out of the gate. [Yes, she knew I was a prosecutor out of the gate because her best friend, who works in the courthouse with me, was the one who set us up. No, she didn't know I had a harley out of the gate...but she does now.)

Yes, she's still a little younger than me (8 years) but this one is much closer in age...and, to be honest, I've had more "sparks" with her (in an emotional, non-sexual, sense) in 3 dates than I had in 3 months with the 25 yo.

Just wanted to keep y'all posted.

Keep your fingers crossed for me. I hope this one lasts a long time. =D>

I'm glad you figured out that closer to your age means more in common. There's more to life then being able to say you have a 25 year old girlfriend! ;-)

Actually, I figured that out a while ago. I've been tryin' to break up with the young one for several weeks. Sure, goin' younger may be "funner" for a while...but it certainly isn't emotionally fulfilling.

I know, I know....I don't sound like a "dude" there...but it's true.

Maybe...but you have more of a life having had one.
I fully encourage single people to visit both ends of the spectrum, within reason. (You know what I mean.) Why limit yourself to a particular age group ? You may find more happiness with a mature 22 year old who knows where she is and where she's going than you would with a forty year old woman who may not. Everybody is different. Not all 25 year old women are the girl from the bookstore in "The Forty Year Old Virgin".

JH, who I've always thought of as a guy tryin' too hard to prove his masculinity, (c'mon..."Let's See Your Tats ?") is definitely a better person for having had a 25 year old woman for company. Now he knows what he likes more in a woman, and can hopefully just pick one who also digs him.
I might get some change for my two cents, but there it is.
