Tomorrow Is The Day

Post by JansenFan »

The day that means NikiH and I will have been married for 12 years. Unbelievable. It's beena long strange trip for us, but one filled with laughter and joy.

Thanks Nik, for always being there for me; for being supportive of everything that I do.

Actually, I remember it quite well. I graduated from Marine Corps Boot Camp on September 10, and I had to report for Marine Combat Training on September 20, so we made the most of my 10 days of freedom.

I wore my dress blues with my one lonely stripe, and as we were leaving, there was a color guard from the local Sheriff's Department outside practicing sword manual for a Deputy Sheriff's wedding that followed ours.

Seeing my uniform, the kindly practiced once with us passing through the proverbial gauntlet.

Seems like yesterday. Of course, I can't remember what I ate for lunch yesterday, but in 12 years, I'll probably remember.

Thanks for the congratulations!

That's awesome - make sure you celebrate this weekend!

Congratulations to the both of you. My parents celebrated their 25th this past summer--hopefully by the time you guys are there Jackson will be looking at full ride scholarships to D1 schools and all that :)

Hope you both have good days, and have fun celebrating (whatever it is married people do to celebrate x year anniversaries and the such. . .)
