Looking for Gameday Information please!

Post by BrownsFan »

Good morning to all Redskins fans. I'm personally a Browns fan myself but being in the area I see a lot of Redskins coverage and wish them the best this year.

But anyways.. my questions are about the area really. I'll be coming up there with a couple people, one of them a big time Bears fan. We're curious as to where some good spots might be to hang out? Maybe any bars in the area that provide some good times Sat. night? Or possibly even a bit of tailgate time the morning of the game?

Also I'm curious what's the easiest/bset way to get to the actual stadium. We'll be staying at the Hyatt in Crystal City.. which is in Arlington, VA.

Any info would be greatly appreciated and here's to a great game on Sunday!

And of course after I read through the threads a bit more I see there's been some information put out already regarding this.. whoops!

Alas.. any "additional" information that anyone might have would be of great use as well. :)

Welcome BrownsFan.

Can't really help you on the travel from Arlington. I know you can just get on the Capital Beltway going North on 95. Look for exit 16 in MD if you have a parking pass, otherwise you can follow the signs for the cash lots.

I also saw in a thread about a bus you can take from Arlington which would get you back and forth for about what it takes to park, or you can take the Metro to the Morgan Street station which is a short walk from the stadium.

As for tailgating, our site tailgates at A75 right off of Morgan Street. You are welcome to come, although you will have to ditch the Bears fan. ;-)

Can we just bring the Bears fan along and joke him excessively?

Might have to check that out.. what time do you all normally start partying?

Gates open at 900, we'll be set up at 901 or so.

Just kidding on the Bears fan. We'll just get him drunk and tell him you can see better from the parking lot.

I'll definitely keep it in mind. Obviously it's kinda his weekend so my friends and I will just follow him around and do whatever but I'll certainly mention this and maybe we'll drop by!

If we do though.. he must be heckled. :)
