So, again Michael Irvin is saying the Cowboys are going to make the playoffs. Just how do you ask? Well it's simple really, they are going to be carried in by the strangth of their defense.
Oh, that makes sense... except for the fact that their defense sucks! The Skins D is so much better than the Cowboys is, that is a rediculous statement to make!
You always hear these days how teams are after the 'tweeners, the guys that are halfway between DEs and LBs, so they can run a 3-4. Well, the Cowboys have a 'tweener defense, they can't run a 3-4 or a 4-3 because right now their personnel don't fit either scheme!!!
Did Mike actually watch the game on Sunday night? Other than a couple of turnovers, and some drops from Seattle (what's new?), the Cowboys D got toasted.
The Seahawks ran the same simple play where the TE runs straight down the seam and catches the ball between the LBs and the Safeties a good 15 times and they couldn't stop it once (unless the pass was dropped)!!! At one point they ran that play three times in a row for 1st downs! Please, the Cowboys D is pathetic, someone better get Michael to a rehab clinic fast!
Michael Irvin smokes too much crack!

they toasted them with that TE inside skinny post play they ran...every time i saw the hawks back to pass, they would throw it to the same place and either draw a PI call or get a long reception for a first down. even though the hawks didnt win, it still shows the weakness of that defense. roy williams was nowhere to be found, in fact he was getting toasted too, so to all the folks who say roy is better than ST...well i'll reserve that for the smack forum

Sean, may you always rest in peace and look down on us with the same love that we look up to you.
Hail to the Redskins!

Sean can't hold Roy's jock, and he proved that time and again last season and in this offseason.ejay183 wrote:skinsfano28 wrote:they toasted them with that TE inside skinny post play they ran...every time i saw the hawks back to pass, they would throw it to the same place and either draw a PI call or get a long reception for a first down. even though the hawks didnt win, it still shows the weakness of that defense. roy williams was nowhere to be found, in fact he was getting toasted too, so to all the folks who say roy is better than ST...well i'll reserve that for the smack forum

i wasn't sure about drafting sean taylor, and i think we're all still a little wary of the kid after this offseason. but, as a football player, he has simply proven himself to be one of the top few most amazingly talented athletes in the NFL- maybe the most talented. he made "TO" look like a high school football player last year. any time he gets anywhere near the ball, he he has the potential to take it away from the other team (whether plucking it out of the air, or ripping it/knocking it out of their hands).
gregg williams doesn't throw praise around lightly. but he says sean taylor is his favorite player in the league. this tells me that taylor must also be working hard on the mental aspects of the game. the only times he screwed up last year were on "rookie mistakes", mental mistakes. you get rid of those, and he is going to absolutely kill everyone, all the time.
roy williams is pretty darn good, but no serious objective analyst would even put roy williams in the same category as sean taylor.
