These appear in the SI that came today. I've never really bought into the media bias against the Redskins talk (other than the ultra-biased Len Pasquarelli) but this is truly ridiculous. SI's own Peter King offers his RB rankings for the 2005 season and has Clinton Portis ranked 15th! Here's his list:
1. L. Tomlinson
2. P. Holmes
3. S. Alexander
4. W. McGahee
5. J. Lewis
6. J. Jones
7. A. Green
8. T. Barber
9. E. James
10. T. Bell
11. R. Johnson
12. C. Martin
13. D. Davis
14. C. Williams (R)
15. C. Portis
16. J. Arrington (R)
17. C. Dillon
18. D. McAllister
19. C. Benson (R)
20. W. Dunn
21. M. Faulk
22. R. Brown (R)
23. L. Jordan
24. K. Jones
25. C. Brown
26. B. Westbrook
27. J. Bettis
28. S. Jackson
29. T. Henry
30. R. Droughns
31. M. Bennett
32. F. Gore (R)
I can't believe the hype behind Julius Jones. The guy had all kinds of problems in college and missed half of his rookie season with injuries. He had those two great games against the Bears on Thanksgiving and the Seahawks on MNF and people act like he's the next Emmitt. He did nothing against us (including fumbling at the goal line) and has a lot to prove before you can rank him 6th in the entire league. Also unproven guys like Tatum Bell and Domanick Davis are ahead of Portis. Even a rookie (Cadillac Williams) who plays behind one of the worst O-Lines in the NFL on a PASSING team is ranked ahead of Portis. I hope this pisses off our offensive linemen as much as it does me.

I agree with you on Julius Jones being overhyped but the boy still does have skills. As for Domanick Davis being unproven, he's actually put up pretty damn good fantasy stats in his only two NFL seasons. But yes, Portis being ranked 15 is ridiculous, although his fantasy performance last season was a complete disappointment.

Wishful thinking I admit, but it's not totally out of the realm of possibility to think that the Skins players are reading Sports Illustrated. It's not like its some dumpy fantasy football mag no one has ever heard of.
Also, they have Patrick Ramsey 2nd to last on their list of starting QBs, ahead of only Alex Smith.....Yikes.
