The Posse was Art Monk, Ricky Sanders, and Gary Clark.

The Fun Bunch was formed by players a few years before the Posse existed. I don't remember who exactly was in the Fun Bunch but I think Calvin Muhammad and George Rogers were in it.

The Fun Bunch came around in the early 80's and didn't last too long. The Posse formed around the mid 80's and lasted through the early 90's until Clark went to Phoenix, Sanders went to ATL, and Monk went to the Jets.

fun bunch had TE's in it -- ric doc walker I think was one. Don't remember Muhammad and Rodgers being in it, but maybe they were...that was over 20 years ago...

The posse was definetly Monk, Sanders and Clark... I sure do hope that Moss can be Sanders and Patten or Jacobs will be Clark... Those three guys complimented each other so well...

What I think we're missing is a Donnie Warren -- a super blocker who can catch whatever comes his way -- they don't need to be as good as Shockey, Heap, etc...after the catch either... Open holes and once in a while, catch a big pass...

See #47 Chris Cooley. He is working on this blocking this offseason.

Also (digging into my memory): "Posse" was the name of the offensive package, as well as the nickname for Monk, Clark, and Sanders. It was the Redskins' three-WR package. I think Monk shifted to H-back, so they could run if they needed to. Monk was not as big as Walker or Didier or Orr, but he could hit hard.

They also have a "Jumbo" package, and, my personal favorite, "Heavy Jumbo", in which the fleet-footed Russ Grimm went in at H-Back.

No.

Alvin Garrett was one, though.

Greetings from NYC: I wish we could celebrete touchdowns like we used to! There was nothing better than seeing 6- 10 Redskins jump up together in the endzone and high five!

according to my redskins desk calendar the "diminuitive receivers" Clark, Monk, and Sanders were better known as the smurfs. Monk might be the only one that wasn't included.

Smurfs
Alvin Garrett
Charlie Brown

And, I think, also Virgil Seay (pronounced "say"?).

They were from the SB 17 season, before Clark and Sanders were Redskins.

Garrett played a lot in the playoffs because Art Monk, the Redskins deep threat broke a toe in the last game of the regular season. (Italicized because I'm tired of reading from the negative HOF voters, like Mr. King, that Monk was only a 9-yard "posession" receiver. He could go 9 yards or 90.)
