2004 Opponents

Post by BossHog »

The close of the season allowed the league to figure out the 2004 Opponents, though the dates and times will not be released until spring. The Redskins 2004 opponents are as follows:

Home:
Dallas, N.Y. Giants, Philadelphia, Green Bay, Minnesota, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Tampa Bay

Away:
Dallas, N.Y. Giants, Philadelphia, Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, San Francisco

I can make it to Cleveland... so that's cool. Hey Wingman... road trip... it's shorter for you than me :-)
Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

What a relief... I am sick of having brutal schedules after sub par seasons... look at it this way, we get a great draft pick and a bit softer of a schedule...

Not too bad, but is it worth what we put up with?

Not to bad??? Someone look at the home schedule and tell me how many of those games we are going to win? Remember this is a 5-11 team. And as for away games it doesn't matter who you play it hard to win on the road ask Minn, St. Louis and Cincy All the talk is about how we lost some close game but of the 5 game we won 3 were won on bad played by our opposition

Thank You, DEHog! I don't know what these eternal optimist are looking at but home and away, it is just as bad as this year. Let's look closely shall we?

The division games won't be any easier, in fact they will be harder

GB, Minnesota, and TB: Don't let yesterday's choke by minn delude you into thinking they won't be good next season. TB will have an axe to grind because of this horrible season.

Cincy and Balt.: Marvin and Jamal Lewis. Nuff said.

chicago, detroit, cleveland, pittsburgh, and SF on the road: If we're lucky, Cleveland and Chicago may be beatable.

WE ARE IN FOR THE SAME ARSE WHIPPING FOLKS!!! Jon Jansen said it best "it's easier to loosen the reigns than it is to tighten them" The roster and the organization can't change enough in the offseason to think about competing. The quicker everyone learns this and hit that arse, Dan Snyder, where it hurts (his wallet), the quicker we'll recover. I don't see it happening.

Sorry for the rant but they are killing me here in eagle land and I can't tell these undeserving nimrods s*&t!!!

I apologize to the administrators and thanks for letting me vent!
it is what it is

Please tell me your not giving up your tickets, hey I feel as bad as you probaly worst since you didn't endure the pain of Sat. Night. What can we do to turn thing around...if enough of us get togeter. Hell if you leave, your ticket will be passed on to one of the 71,000 still on the waiting list.
Look at the bright side you get to see Farve and Green, Culpepper and Moss, and the Lewis'

I concur with DEHog and Hitdoctor that next year's schedule is far from sunny. I see about four games that I'm comfortable saying we'll compete in. The others, well...let's just say that unless some serious offseason changes are made, (all the way from players to ownership) the rest might be frightening. Not losing hope, just trying to be realistic.

Agreed 74 the one silver lining I see is the so-called tougher games are at home.

you just can't judge teams from one year to the next. with the cap and the league the way they are, rosters don't stay the same..... the Not For Long league. and as with everything else in life, one mans junk is another mans fortune. stars are born and die every year as well. teams come from out of nowhere every year to shake things up. most teams are only one or two FA or draft pick additions/subtractions from being in contention. others its the right coach or assistant coming or going that makes the difference. i think it goes like "any given sunday".....

we aren't that bad. we lost a lot of games by a TD or less. we need to make a couple "educated" moves this offseason to be right where we need to be, hopefully syder and his cousin vinny can get that done. we had a lot of really good pickups last offseason that were really our only bright spots. we need to stop the run, and pass rush the qb, things that marvin did, that george hasn't. and we also need to control the clock. by the time spurrier actually realized this, our ground game had already churned out 1000 yds on the ground IN CAROLINA.
