This is about sports, so this is ok here, I think.
I was just on the phone with one of my firends who had a pretty good debate...
The University of Arkansas Razorback Foundation is there pretty much to help the sports team most. According to the Nolan Richardson trials, they are packing about 200 million in funds. Atleast.
Apparently, there was a good argument at a local restaurant whether or not too much money has gone to such things as renovating Donald W. Reynolds Razorbacks Stadium, Baum Field, and such.
Do you all think a foundation group for supporting a university should put a cap on how much money they are willing to give to sports? What would you all do if this was Maryland, Virgina, Delaware, ect?
I think it is fine considering the University of Arkansas is a solid sports program in the SEC and as long as the fans are watching and filling up those sport games, they shouldd give as much to the athletics department as it need. Within reason, of course.
