The more I think about it this was the best draft choice that Joe could have made to improve the offense. Last year we had plenty of stars on the Offense and we got nothing done....nothing. There is no reason that that many stars should be the 30th ranked Offense.
We like to sit here and find other reasons why our Offense wasn't clicking last year...or the years before...We blame the O-Line, the Wide Outs, Joe Gibbs, Brunell....but never Ramsey. No, He's off limits.
Well, now with a fire lit under his butt we will find out this year whether he is the guy or not. We still have all of our Offensive stars...minus an injured Coles...there is no lack of talent on our Offense. So therefore there is no excuse for Ramsey to not do well. This will either turn him into Drew Brees or it will make him faulter. And if he does we have our next future QB waiting for a chance to play.
Ask yourself who is the guy on Offense who touches the ball the most. The QB...With all the tools these guys had around them there was no excuse......
We have the weapons to be at least an average Offense if not dominant. The only thing left to fix is the guy behind center. If this doesn't improve our offense to at least middle of the pack, then Ramsey is not the future. No wide out, or TE would single handedly improve our offense as much improved QB play.
Now, I'm going to bed because my 14 1/2 month pregnant wife is running around cleaning the house......therefore Iw ill most likely be having a baby tommorrow. So, goodnight. The next time I talk to you there will be one more Skins fan in the world!

As much as I love Ramsey, you bring a great point to the table. I have to agree with you. Good luck on the labor thing...

, everybody for Gods sake stop that "light a fire under his ass crap". Is this the main reason we drafted Campbell giving up 3 picks just to light a fire under somebody's ass. This is the most idiotic pick I've seen in a while

When you make a mistake, don't look back at it long. Take the reason for the mistake into your mind, and then look forward. Mistakes are lessons of wisdom. The past cannot be changed. The future is yet in your power. - JORDAN

Exactly. So we drafted Campbell to motivate Ramsey. Yeah that makes real good sense. You half-full guys are really reaching!!!
By the way if I was Ramsey I think this would make me feel less motivated. Here Ramsey is declared the starter ready to go and Gibbs and Co once again show their lack of confidence in him. Ramsey has payed his dues and does not deserve this treatment.

Is it really that inconceivable that Ramsey might not be the QB we all hope he will? Joe Gibbs has more experience with this kind of thing than we do. Maybe Ramsey is not the guy for this team. He can always go back to throwing javelin. He won't need any of that touch he doesn't have and he won't get intercepted nearly as much in important situations.
Still Loyal. Go Skins!

While you guys think it is absurd to give up 3 picks to pick up Campbell mainly to motivate Ramsey...Sorry, but that's how Joe Gibbs works, and I'm pretty sure it will work.
We had Brunell and Hass sitting back there. Ramsey knows Brunell can't replace him if the team has a hope of winning. He also knows Hass isn't ready to step up and take Ramsey's job without an injury. Gibbs had to either draft a stud or sign a FA QB that could push Ramsey, if he could even find one.
If Ramsey is our future, and I really believe he is, then he will respond and finally break out. If not, Campbell looks pretty good as a replacement after his rookie season.
And for those of you who think this is crap to do this to Ramsey...TOO BAD!!!!!
I love Ramsey, and I hope he finally breaks out, but I'm not gonna leave myself short in case he doesn't. That would put us behind another whole year. Ramsey is past the whole shaky confidence thing. It's time to push him. That's what Joe is doing.
I didn't like this pick at first either. Mainly because of fat len. I didn't want him to be right, and that's just stupid reasoning. The more I think about this, the more right it is to me. Gibbs had to do it, he had no choice. As chaddukes said, we already have enough talent on offense to have a great offense. All we need is good play from the QB....

Baby hasn't come yet....shes stubborn just like her old man!
I don't know why you guys think that Ramsey has somehow paid his dues? He has been tough under center, but he also held out his rookie year, and threw a fit (or at least directed his Agent to do so) when Brunell was brought in. He has single handedly cost us games! And while he has a cannon for an arm..its just about as accurate as a cannon too! I like Ramsey and hope that he does well, but I'm a realist. If he has a break out year ans decided that he wants the bucks that we can't afford to pay him....then we already have a guy to replace him rather than having to rely on a Rookie or Hassleback.
As for giving up three picks to get him....OK so it was a lot, but Gibbs obviously saw something that he thought was special in him. In order to get Campbell he had to trade up to #25 to get him. We had no 2nd this year, and didn't really have the ammo to move up to get him.
Hey if you want to be all gloom and doom and go home and kick the dog thats up to you...but I'm happy with my Skins and with Gibbs running the ship!
