Don't draft any Miami Hurricanes

Post by coachKarl »

I have had enough of players from this college, they are greedy, they have character issues, and they always cause trouble. They might be great players but the huge headaches are not worth it in the long run.

CoachK, you've got to admit this is the premier source of talent right now. I also think it's not so much the players but the agents that are really the cause of a lot of these problems. Look at what Condon is doing to the 49ers with Smith right now. The "word" is he wants a deal that is 8% better than what he got for Eli last year!
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Yea coachK, really great idea. Why don't you ask the Ravens how much it sucks having Ed Reed and Ray Lewis on their team. I bet the Jets and Broncos can't wait to get rid of Vilma and DJ Williams. And that guy Portis, he really sucks. I'm sure he's to blame for all of the Skins' problems. The list of great Canes players goes on and on....James, Wilfork, Shockey, etc.

i agree with coachk, character is very important and the example the redskinss u guys have shown is poor. i.e. sean taylor and santana moss. and for portis, it will be just another season or two before he pisses off skins fans asking for a trade or holding out or complaining about some stuff. then you all will be saying good ridence.

Shockey is also holding out from practicing with the Giants, doing the "personal" workout thing at "The U"... I hate that nickname.

Must be some kind of reunion there every spring I guess.

Well, considering the workout program down there is probably better than most NFL teams, I see why they go down there. The workouts are excellent.

I mean, a large amount of Miami football players attribute some of their success and the program's success to the Strength and Conditioning program.

I'll argue this point.

If Taylor is training im Miami, then he is with all the rest of the Miami players. I know missing the voluntary workouts seems like a big deal but if Taylor comes to the regular practices and camps, we have no problem. I only issue is why he would not return Gibbs' phone calls.
Clinton Portis 2005-2006 Season tracker
352 carries 1516 yards 11 TDs
30 receptions 216 yards 0 TDs

Moss, when he was still on the Jets, said the Miami workouts were a lot harder than what the Jets were doing during the voluntary camps and training camp.
