WR or CB?

Post by THE RAM »

If we don´t sign Smoot then what should the redskins do if Mike Williams is available at #9, pick him or draft a CB?

I think we should draft M.Williams and trust in Gregg Williams for our defense, I just don´t believe that much in Patten and Moss.

I think we should draft on the defensive side of the ball. Since we've got David Patten and Santana moss now we don't really need another WR.

I say upgrade the defensive. Espically if Derrick Johnson from Texas is out there. That guy is awesome. Then with Arrington and Barrow coming back that would be a nice set of Linebackers.

We have a ton of #2/3/4 type WRs and absolutely no one close to being a #1.

Niether do the Patriots.

My 2 cents for your thoughts

Who do you guys think would be a good pick for us? We just got 2 new WR so I don't think that getting another WR would do us much good. Maybe a DB like Pac-man Jones from WVU. He is crazy good too.

moss for coles we lose... not by much though...

gardner for patten... we win...

yes we have two little receivers... but with jacobs and mcants we arent bad WR at all..

smoot vs. walt harris... is a joke... we cannot go into the season with harris as our starter...we need to draft a corner

the addition of rabach and getting jansen back helps the whole offense... those two lineman and a happy set of receivers will make all of the difference...

I don't want to start too much controversy but... we can make the playoffs with ramsey... but superbowl... i am not sure... but Mark Rypien wasn't your prototypical superbowl qb either...
See right now I'm on lettuce... Pretty soon I'll be on fries... After that.. The grill... And after that... Comes Assistant. Manager.... and That's When the Big Bucks roll in!

The recievers we signed are great but the aren't that big and Moss can get banged up. Fortunately we have some nice depth in Jacobs, McCants and Thrash but I still think we need a big reciever who can play every down, go over the middle, and keep the chains moving. I say go for a reciever.

I think that the argument that we dont' have a number one WR is bunk. We have several good WO's. One of them is bound to step up and be the guy that we rely on on 3rd down. Remember, TO wasn't a number one guy until someone gave him the chance to shine. We may not have a number one as of now but this time next year everyone will know who our number one was....the guy who stepped up and made it happen. This is Joe Gibbs football!

As much as I would love to see Fred Smoot resign if Gregg Williams is fine with G. Wilds and W. Harris then so am I. I'm not going to second guess that guy.

Personally, I'd love to see us spend all of our draft picks in the trenches. Nothing but D-Line and O-Line!

To answer your question....If Pac Man and Williams were there I would take Pac Man....IF Williams and Rolle were there.....Hmm....I'd probably take Alex Barron or Dan Cody....or Roddy White. I'm not sold on Rolle or Williams...I think that those guys are only talked about because of the name recognition.

Isn't D. Johnson an out side LB? Where would he play since we have Washington and Arrington?
