Speaking from the heart, I want another Art Monk on the team.

OK, maybe they don't make them like Monk anymore; more precisely, it looks like most of the big, strong, fast receivers with good hands also have overblown egos, weak brains, no ability to control their mouths when some inner urge tells them to boast and talk nonsense. The Moss-Owens-KJohnson disease.

[Note: this is yet another argument that Art MOnk should have been voted into the HOF]

But I wish the Redskins could find a big WR.

Anyway, Gibbs works from the head...we'll see.

I believe that if we don't take a receiver at #9 and we don't trade down, we will take either Antrell Rolle or Pac Man Jones at 9.

i say we stop making new threads about smoot until something official happens, not just speculation.

if you want to comment on it, its simple to find one of the 36,391 topics on our CB situation.

Air_Hog, I think the topic was more about what the contingency plan should be, should Smoot leave.
To chip into that discussion, I'll say "no". There's no point in paying a CB first round money anymore.

no. CB isn't a priority with the no touch rules. Harris/Clark/Lott can handle the 2nd CB duties. I think we will trade down, but if not I see us picking a DE. Who knows though. If one of the big receivers is still there, we probably go that route...

Whoa, I generally agree with your posts but I don't know about putting Ryan Clark and Andre Lott as #2 corners. CB is now less important but its not unimportant. At the end of the year we were so thin at the corner position that it costs us games....well at least one game. I think that Harris and Springs will do well, but we should consider picking up a CB to coach up, for depth and to eventually replace our aging CB's.
